- We had a cracker of a weekend fishing in the Tinny down near Batemans Bay. We're both pretty inexperienced so we were stoked. We stayed at Nelligen on a rainy weekend and headed down river towards Batemans Bay. We didn't have much luck but as we got closer to the change of tide and closer to the Bay we started to get some nibbles. We ended satying near the bridge and caught 22 fish from about 11m to 4pm. Only a few were big enough to keep, but it was a heap of fun!!! Watch to the end to see the flatty fillets cooked up with some chips. Mint weekend on the water.
Living the dream Louie!
Haha new experiences👌
Good vid mate! Gotta say, lucky Badenoch wasn't out that day, otherwise you would have had sinkers flying at you lads for fishing in "his spot" under the bridge in the Bay!
Thanks mate. Don't tell him then... 😆
@@OutdoorsCBR Haha, I won't! Just warning ya, cause he is responsible for a few chips in my boat for doing that when I was in that exact same spot..
@TheHonro geez... that's no good. I reckon he was, have a look in the background at 12m29s.
@@OutdoorsCBR Damn! I didn't notice that! Count urself lucky - the guy is a tosser.
Hey mate looking at going there end of this year where did you camp at cheers
Hey mate, we just stayed at the Nelligen Caravan park. Get a river front spot, they are mint! There are a few other Nat park camps on the east side of the river towards the bay.
Good luck with metery
Thanks, the hunt will go on!!!
Get rid of that line 8 to 12lb braid is plenty for a river.
Thanks mate. Pretty sure the line on the reel is ancient. Will grab some braid at some stage.
