Hey everyone! It's Jake with Lax Weekly and today we're breaking down this crazy summer club lacrosse game fight where the dads join in. This was crazy stuff haha Спорт
What do I need to break down next?
Everything
Good individual defense, short stick or long pole it doesn’t matter, just pick a good player that can legally clobber other players. I want to know how to hit without getting a penalty
PLL plays
Did you get these from watching Jomboy Media?
please break down the best post up players in lacrosse, and the best post up moves
That dad in the salmon shirt had me dying
Dk metcalf out there
@@LaxWeekly fr😂
He looked like he just anchored his boat and was running to shore to take a leak.
Had me laughing for 2 minutes 😭
Suburban America runs on Dunkin Donuts......
One of my son's high school lacrosse games ended in a brawl he was the goalie and knew the goalie from the other team they met at mid field and talked to each other while the fight was going on
@Anthony O'Shea no Boston area
That is halarious
That do how it be though between goalies. Even if our teams are huge rivals, we respect each other’s craft and I end up hanging out with like half of them afterwards 😂
Cool story.
And then ?????
Played in that game. One of the best summer lax memories I have.
Is the white team patriot?
Last summer I was the King of Atlantis
I was a football official for 17 years. I left when it just got to bad. Every game some parent would lost it. I've been threatened, followed home in my car and attacked, physically by a parent while I was officiating!!. Now being 6'7" and 280 and a former division 1 football player myself I wasn't the one who went to the hospital...but I and most of my colleges quit. I herd the year before the pandemic they didn't have a full season due to no body wanting to officiate anymore. I worked hard and not only knew the rules inside and out for elementary all the way up to college but always called a fare game. The last year I had to kick so many parents out of games it was ridiculous. People remember we are there for 3 reason and 3 reason only. 1 above all else we are there for the safety of the kids. 2 to excuse a fair field of play by implementing the rules of the game...AND...lastly...#3 SPORTSMENSHIP! We are there to support good sportsmanship on and off the field of play. So when a parent starts yelling to hurt another player, or starts swearing, I will stop the game and address that individual or group of people...and remind them of the sportsmanship factor. Keep that in mind when you go to your kids next game...OH YA! And remember...there are no scouts at that game looking to recruit you kid. Its just a game. AND if there was a scout there and you did act like that...say goodbye to that scholarship.
I did football and lax officiating. Middle school parents and coaches are often psychotic. I quit after a coach literally threw a flag out of a stadium. Head coach was a math teacher, using language the crips would be proud of. Not worth it- coaches, parents haven’t ever read a rule book.
I think they should pay officials more. Based on the rate of pay I am aware of, it is almost like a volunteer job.
Pink shirt came running like it was last call for steak at Golden Corral.
Never a dull moment at Mitchel Field. Everybody who's played or coached a tourney there has experienced something like this.
Guy in the pink shirt is classic!
If this ever happens at one of my kid’s games I can’t wait to pop into someone’s vacated chair and laugh at what I’m seeing
As a ref....Gents this is running time. in 20 seconds the next 2 crews of kids comes flooding on to the field. The ref had a flag down and did NOT stop play which was the best he could do to keep from ending the game while signaling CNOTE to the table. Some tournaments insist that refs go to stop time in side of 2 minutes in the 4th for close games, but that's tough to manage. As you pointed out -- it's fun club ball. But the salmon dad.........(Grin)!
asa fellow stripes I second this and add lax parents, oh man sometimes...... every game.
You SOOOOO overstate the initial contact. The guy who catches the ball and get’s “clobbered” clearly gets a glancing blow at best! Neither defender hit hard, both held up. It looked worse because of the angle, but if you watch it again, it probably shouldn’t be a penalty. It’s just how he fell that made it look like contact.
Thanks to the internet, these men are now legends.
How do you figure? Nobody even knows what this sport is.
Helicopter sports dad's are some of the biggest tallywackerz.
You commentary absolutely made the video! Love it.
Ref: "I dont even know what lacrosse is"
Welcome out west
That commentary earns a subscribe that was ON POINT!
a lacrosse jomboy is exactly what the lacrosse world needs
My favorite was the fella in Salmon streaking across that field! That was Awesome!
first time i watched lacrosse was as a highschool freshman and it ended in a bench clearing brawl. I played lacrosse the next year
Alot of khaki, pastel, and flip flops😂😂
our parents brawled with the other teams parents in the stands in Vancouver when I was about 13. mostly because one kid was really just throwing a tantrum and slashing another kids foot repeatedly. now this other kid was laughing so u can imagine how little it hurt. but ya I remember a woman going over the boards into the opposing bench. one of the coaches grabbed hee by the hair and ripped her head back. it was a brawl.
Notis! Great vid 😂
Notis squaaaad
@@LaxWeekly yessir
This is the content we deserve
Lol I think I was here coaching on the opposite side of the field😅 what was the city and state this happened?
As a hockey dad, I loved it!
Classic. You’re dying to be the “business manager” of your NHL son.
@@RvdW22 ok
Dang that is CRAZY!
Legit the BEST CONTENT, no joke, BEST CONTENT within the lacrosse world right now, this WILL grow the game, keep it up!!!!!!!!
Dude last year at lilaxfest on the field next to my 2 dads got arrested for going at it after the teams did. Our game just stopped and we were watching

This is the exact same thing that happens at my game the other day...
Actually???
@@LaxWeekly Parents started running in when some one threw a punch
Lol a FLYING NINJA KICK omg!!!
“What do you think about this?” One word: LOL
Lmaoo I grew up playing with most of the kids in the navy jerseys
You took my advice 😂😂😂
That guy in the salmon shirt looks like me after a game because I refuse to go to the bathroom before
Salmon shirt dad Telling this incident at next BBQ: "dude I ran out there so fuckin fast dude, just bolted by everyone. Then I got up in this guys face bro and was like 'what the fuck bro!' That chilled him out quick. "
Salmon was swimming up river !!
No big hits? They kept helmets on and the parents looked like tweebs LOL
Good job on D side, gotta put the dude down
I didn't see the problem tbh.
I imagine thats what it looks like when the penguin runs in to fight batman
Funny watching fights in US Field Lacrosse games. You have gloves, full face helmets, shoulder pads, and lacrosse sticks.
what's the point fighting with all this gear on?
Good stuff
We used to have boxing matches during practice all the time.
Is it really a fight when they have on gloves and helmets? I believe they should watch a hockey game for guidance. This looks like it was on Long Island-I think I can see one of the dorms at Hofstra in the background. Did the MBA there. Great school. Lived in Manhasset after and worked in NYC.
Lacrosse tournaments in Florida are like this almost every time
Happy Halloween
What a classy bunch
The commentating was the best part of the video 💀💀
definitely inspired by jomboy, but I am here for it. great video
100%
Idk how salmon shirt stayed in his Jerusalem Cruisers with that speed.
This is pretty light compared to lacrosse brawls from 30 years ago. Box lacrosse is also way more aggressive than field lacrosse so this situation might shock someone that is new to a great sport.
Saw box lacrosse at Spectrum stadium in Philly 80's. Field was the hockey rink, except turf over ice. It was constant checking into boards and fighting. Saw 2 players lift and drop opposing player over boards into team bench. Drunk fans sporadically would hop onto field and challenge players to fights, both teams instantly would unite and go after fan. Craziest event I ever saw!!! TV commercials for upcoming games showed nothing but violence, narrated by same guy who voices for Monster Truck shows
I believe the Chicago Bears are now scouting Salmon shirt dad.
These rich kids were having a heck of a day. I'm sure it was made better when their parents gave them whatever they wanted later.
Got in a bench clearing brawl bc a kid hit me from behind (before I even touched the ball) going for an absolute Hail Mary pass with just a few seconds left… I def would have scored too, I already had 3 goals already that game since it was a jv game and I played both freshman year. Anyways when i got back up I called the kid a hick and swung on him and then both teams cleared the benches and went at it 😅. Looking back I was talking hella shit all game because I had a goal in the varsity game beforehand too. They definitely got the last laugh. I got suspended for 3 days starting the fight but my coach still let me play on game day and parents were kinda pist ngl 😅. Loved that coach I was always getting in trouble and coach would always stand up for me..
They were going at it
the hit should've been a flag and the clock would've added most likely a extra min for slash or cross check and they would've had the chance to tie
Lol at least you know something unlike the ref that didn’t even know about lacrosse 20 mins ago lol
We had a brawl in the middle of a game after one of our guys was laying kids out clean no flags.. the other coaches were cussing and trash talking a middle school player. Our head coach went after their coaches and got thrown off the fields. Then they had their big ass defense men target our smallest play and hit him dirty asf, little guy got up slashing and that started the brawl. I played D and ran down the field full speed cause it was happening on the other side and I did that same ninja kick into the mess of bodies! Parents and coaches broke it up and the refs walked off the field and left. The game ended there 😂 we played the team one more time that year in a crazy game where we got an OT win. Epic shit
Man, that’s Vipers Lacrosse. They usually don’t get into any kind of fights?
The dad's can get the smoke too 😂
Combine invite lol classic
My dad would’ve laughed his ass off if this happened
Flying Ninja kick? Wasn't that a heel Click??
call in beer belly reinforcements!!!
The writers did a good job that day.
That wasn't a kick. Dude clicked his heels
My favorite is the big belly guy in the yellow hat
They didn't even take their helmets off🤦♂️😂
That’s a clean move
Cool vid
OMG HILARIOUS 😂
Nice commentary😂
All my years playing this great game and not once did parents get involved like this. The kids won't get hurt with helmets and pads on, it's the dads who'll get black eyes and broken teeth. Guys living vicariously through their sons. Then.... you have the moms who have to get in there. And why is it you never see parents rushing the field in higher level games? We've all seen some pretty nasty hits, clean or cheap, in college games, and not one parent on the field. Let your kid play the game and learn.
I'm being completely serious, am I missing something because that literally looked like a slow motion check on the kid in white. (Not the actual slow motion recap the original speed clip) It looked like he barely bumped into him? Idk kid in white seems kind of dramatic...
So good lol
Every time i meet a parent that has kids in sports, the first thing i ask them is how many fights they've been in.
Dads in sandals ain’t about that life...😭😭😭
Sick
Yup.. Long Island, PA, never seems to let up. We deal with these effin clowns every year, Maryland parents are right behind them.
Pink shirt dad 😂😂😂😂😂
No dads fighting
Look at all those sandles. Jeez!
Yes I love kicking back on a Sunday and watching professional lacrosse. Wait, there is no professional lacrosse to watch on Sunday.
Your commentary is so freaking funny!
Appreciate you bro
Bet this won't make the local News
Gotta be Long Island
This was definitely a west coast lacrosse tourney
nah it is LI i’ve played with these kids before
Love seeing the brawls
Rip the dab for the karate kick 🥲
Rip my guy
I use to play in these super high and hung over literally throwing up on the field. I'd go up to my defender and promise to never attack the net if he never actually hit me. Some of the best games i've ever been in.
Salmon shirt guy is on the cover of Man Boobs Illustrated this month
Played for 8 years and I’ll be honest, that hit wasn’t that bad.
I’ve taken worse, and dished out worse, part of the game.
Good memories
Salty for a field lax game. Just another day for boxla.
As a long-time lacrosse referee, I've observed that sports doesn't build character as much as it reveals it.
It was a heel click in the air
Ffs parents if you go onto the field grab your kid and walk off or do nothing. Anything else just makes it 1000 times worse.
Best to let em get it out on the field, why parents feel like they need to get involved is the real problem. Great game and it gets heated, this can happen.
I'd rage too if my son played lacrosse
