Thanks for those tips guys, I am extending new composite decking onto an existing area and those tips will help massively. Just wish the guy who installed the existing decking knew how to do it properly and hadn't used a nail gun to secure the corner cuts ☹
It can’t flow into the soffit as that’s sealed? Been told composite doesn’t need a gap at the top but a lot of manufacturers say to leave one. See these boys blocking the gap, who knows what’s right lol
Great video. The only question i have is how is the garden room being ventilated. What ventilation is being used in the roof space to avoid sweating and moisture build up?
Good evening, do you have to have the gap in between the cladding and the membrane? Could you not put 25mm celotex or other insulation to help keep the building warm ? Cheers
Guys an amazing video. You’ve inspired me to build my own garden office. I’m building right beside the boundary fence. I had planned on fully fabricating the wall closest before standing it up, but the more I watch you, I might just have to beg the neighbour to allow me to take the fence down. One question, do you know the colour of this cladding? Thanks for these phenomenal videos!
once I figured out how to understand your accent (just taking the P 😁) everything made perfect sense... well do Gents, and thank you... maybe I can contract you on my next build? Please keep on making these videos!!! 👌👌👌
Do you not do silicone seals where the trims meet the doors an windows? Was hoping ti see what the seals on the joints look like too. But otherwise great video
Hi Guys, much detailled vid! Do you use stainless stell brads for attatching the battens? And should there not be a little spacing between the battens (even for the vertical ones) so the wood wont sufficate?
Would it be easier to install cladding before the soffit to leave some play for the last cut also be a better finish with the J trim against the cladding? (Not a dig genuine question)
Just a question I'm doing a 70ft shed soon, why didn't you use the cladding clips haswhen you screw each board, when it expands it will crack, where with clips it won't cheers
Thanks this is really helpful - I'm thinking of cladding the outside of my crafting shed to make it a bit warmer. Would this work ok - its a cheap and very full shed so don't want to insulate it inside. thanks
Hi, great video, what system were you using? Also, have you done a video on exterior cladding with insulation, PIR etc? I need to know about if I need air gaps and moisture barriers with PIR boards? Cheers Fellas
What precise tradesmen, I shouldn't watch these as I tend to critercise trades men and wonder why they aren't doing it like the video. Question if applying direct to block work do you use vapor barrier? What is the make of the cladding? And where are you from..... Thanks video was informative
Really great tutorial thanks, quick question, if the returns into the windows/doors are smaller than the corner profile, do they rip down easy enough on a table saw? Cheers 👍
Great video lads. I’m using this exact same stuff - do you know the colour code or colour name for the silicone you used for the joins? Envirobuild told me RAL1013 but it’s loads lighter
I do t like this cladding, I use Eurocell much nicer and neater, you don’t have any screws showing, you simply screw the corners on first, then slide the cladding in behind both corners, looks so much more professional and far more stream line, my clients wouldn’t have screws showing colour coded or not 😂🤷♂️
Yes they should have Bug Screen at the top and at the bottom, Also a starter piece to hold the bottom of the first piece of siding, Also a drip edge needs to be attached at the bottom to shed any rain water etc. away from the building, The same applies above all windows and doors, The corner trim pieces should not be fastened on both sides only fasten one side, this will allow for expansion and contraction as you mentioned at the start of the vidio, There needs to be good quality cualking applied at the door frame, prior to the instalation of the corner trim pieces, this will provide a water proof protection in this area to combat rain blowing into this joint, Just a few items which the suppliers of this product should have mentioned to you guys, but this looks like a B & Q supplied product, Stay away from the big box stores fellas, your work is fine its the product and the suppliers we all must try to avoid, these kind of so called building yards are a Scurge , almost as bad as the on- line shopping 😀😂
Nice video, not always easy to find tradesmen who do quality work like you guy's.
Thank you.
Thank you very much!
Lovely job, the best step by step how to i've seen , thanks for that , i'm having a go at this on my garage soon.....cheers fellas
Thanks and good luck mate 😊💪🏼
Im acrossed the pond as they say,and Im impressed by how well you all do these videos and jobs. Another awesome video, thank you.
Thanks we really appreciate it 😁👏🏼

Great job guys, im lifting my old wood deck and replacing with composite this weekend.
Thank you for your comment, we would love to hear an update on your project!
fabulous work, love watching you work and all your tips. top class. thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much 😊
Terrific info, thanks guys! ✌🏾
Great video lads 💪 Am building a little garden cabin so this has really helped out with getting the finish just right 👍
Nice mate 😁💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Great attention to detail there lads.
thanks lads. Had some tricky mitres to do on some composite F shaped edging, your method worked brilliantly
Amazing tutorial thanks guys 👍🏻
Great video Brad and Phil - looks like a fun project!👍
Thanks 😁😁
Quality work at it's very best 💯💯
Thanks 🤩
Hi, great job, I'm thinking of doing this, but otger products I've seen are allowing for ventilation top and bottom, do these need it, thanks
Great Video lads - btw could you do a cladding video when brick is on both ends?
how does the vertical ventilation work after sealing the topmost cladding piece? where does the air go?
Up into the soffit that’s also vented on the ends 😊
It can’t flow into the soffit as that’s sealed? Been told composite doesn’t need a gap at the top but a lot of manufacturers say to leave one. See these boys blocking the gap, who knows what’s right lol
Brilliant lads very informative thank you
Our pleasure! 😁
Thank you guys. Learnt a lot.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, thank you!
😊
Great video with easy to follow steps 👍
Thank you, glad you liked it 😊 hope you have a great day!
Really good video, cheers guys.
Looks mint, keep smashing it 🤘
💪🏼 yes k dog
Great vid gents!
👏🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Top lads, great video.
Much appreciated 🔥🔥
Great vid 👏
Thanks!
Great video. The only question i have is how is the garden room being ventilated. What ventilation is being used in the roof space to avoid sweating and moisture build up?
Vented soffits
What an amazing build 👏 so useful pure craftsmanship well done ❤ you both truly amazing 🎉
Thanks Elaine true super star 👏🏼👏🏼
The cladding work look nice Al though others may look nicer. Regardless the adding type, how long will.the wood last again st the walls?
Good evening, do you have to have the gap in between the cladding and the membrane? Could you not put 25mm celotex or other insulation to help keep the building warm ?
Cheers
You need the void for ventilation 😊
@@homeimprovements I did think that but as I’m a cheap northerner I was hoping it could be done to minimise heat loss and my gas bill.

What's preventing bugs from getting into that gap created by the battens? Basically right behind the cladding
We added fly screen but it’s a good spot nothing available with the system
I’ve built my shed ,would you start cladding or get electrons on first
once I figured out how to understand your accent (just taking the P 😁) everything made perfect sense... well do Gents, and thank you... maybe I can contract you on my next build? Please keep on making these videos!!! 👌👌👌
🤣😊💪🏼💪🏼
You guys drill through the first piece directly into the batten. Are starter clips not needed? If you screw through the board how does it then expand?
Classwork guy's 👍
Thanks mate 👌🏼
Do you not do silicone seals where the trims meet the doors an windows? Was hoping ti see what the seals on the joints look like too. But otherwise great video
We do but no footage 😞
Thanks very helpful and well presented
Hi Guys, much detailled vid!
Do you use stainless stell brads for attatching the battens? And should there not be a little spacing between the battens (even for the vertical ones) so the wood wont sufficate?
Battons you can but I don’t bother and standard nails are fine as it shouldn’t see any moister 😊😊
Would it be easier to install cladding before the soffit to leave some play for the last cut also be a better finish with the J trim against the cladding? (Not a dig genuine question)
Spot on had another suggestion like this and it’s in our newer content mate 😁😁👊🏼👊🏼
@ can’t wait, top videos and excellent tradesmen 👌
Hi, in the prep for this, what is the bit of flashing called at the bottom just below the felt? Thanks
Dp around bottom of building 😊
Great video, thank you. Can you please tell me what type of cladding you used, as it is nice and flat.
Thanks it’s from enviro build 😊
Question do you need any starter trim required to use this cladco cladding?
Great video. Question - how can the cladding expand and contract when you fix the corner pieces through them?
The holes are larger than the fixings 😊
That’s a fair size cabin.. does this adhere to the less then 1 metre ruling?
I.e non combustible..
The cladding helps with the non combustible plus no more than 2.5m 😁
Are the wooden batons important
They are 😊
You say to lift it off the bottom, but how do you cover the gap that is left then between the floor and the cladding?
You don’t cover it you leave it for ventilation 👍🏻
Perfect job
Thanks 😊
Just a question I'm doing a 70ft shed soon, why didn't you use the cladding clips haswhen you screw each board, when it expands it will crack, where with clips it won't cheers
Thanks this is really helpful - I'm thinking of cladding the outside of my crafting shed to make it a bit warmer. Would this work ok - its a cheap and very full shed so don't want to insulate it inside. thanks
Not too sure on its insulating properties but sure you could find out more on the enviro build website 😊 and thanks for watching
How does it expand so much if it is screwed to the batons every 400mm?
The boards are piloted with a hole bigger than the fixings 😊😊
Pattress for the DSO?
❤❤❤
Hi, great video, what system were you using?
Also, have you done a video on exterior cladding with insulation, PIR etc?
I need to know about if I need air gaps and moisture barriers with PIR boards?
Cheers Fellas

Thanks video was informative
Where in Gauteng can we buy the exterior wall cladding please
Great work fellas. What nails you used with nail gun?
50/60 mm I believe it was 😊
Really great tutorial thanks, quick question, if the returns into the windows/doors are smaller than the corner profile, do they rip down easy enough on a table saw? Cheers 👍
Yh 😊😊
3:45 do outside buildings need to be two meters away from the out side boundary line in the uk ,, anyone know the rules,,
What size are the battens you used here?
Great video lads. I’m using this exact same stuff - do you know the colour code or colour name for the silicone you used for the joins? Envirobuild told me RAL1013 but it’s loads lighter
Ours was same mate tbh but looked fine 😊
I would always screw the battens with stainless steel screws. Definitely not a nail gun.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
No dpm on the battens 😢

cant i just use my trusty 18yr.old claw hammer ive got in my shed?
Where's the insect and vent
Good work chaps. The only confusing part is knowing which one of you is speaking, as you look like twins.
😁👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
you say level.......but what if my doors and windows might aswell be taken from the 1960s original batman series
This was great, until you didnt put insect/rodent mesh at bottom!!!
Not part of there system mate but I hear ya 😊💪🏼
@@homeimprovements but surely for the customer and pride in your work, you could have got 1,im sure there's some company do 1 that would fit
Is there any starter clips to stop the bottom piece flapping or is it solid once screwed? Cheers
Yes they should have Bug Screen at the top and at the bottom,
Also a starter piece to hold the bottom of the first piece of siding,
Also a drip edge needs to be attached at the bottom to shed any rain water etc. away from the building,

Why can't ya just nail to ya stud bruv?
Cringe.
Level is horizontal, plumb is vertical, you can’t level something vertically! You make yourselves sound like no iDIYerys.
You got what we mean 🤣👍🏼
@homeimprovements very Informative Phillip
