Why in the world did her defense lawyers not tell her to take a plea deal? I can't possibly even think that any juror would find her not guilty.
I don't think she would be allowed to go back into the home until everything was collected, and pictures were taken. Blood samples, etc... then she could go in and clean up the mess left behind as well as the evidence that the police already have.
No doubt she will be convicted, I haven’t seen evidence pointing to anyone else, that’s believable, their sons wouldn’t do in their financial supporter.

I have one and it’s just habit to delete after viewing it. Scott was likely looking for a sign of where his Dad walked to. Not thinking “ this is going to be a murder case and if I erase this it will look bad for me “.
The motives were greed, her desire to be with Rusty, and hatred of her husband. She also wanted her adult children to stop receiving money from the assets she saw as hers, but that was a component of her greed. She tried to blame her two sons, Scott and Chris.

Earlier there was direct testimony of signs of cleanup. The blood was Gary's. The lead detective said they did some luminol but did not have enough for the entire house and the barn. He said it may have been less effective by the time Melody's attorneys had private investigators review the crime scene. Whether any of the foregoing could be additional grounds for an appeal is hypothetical. Heck, whether she will be convicted and have to appeal is hypothetical at this point...LOL 😂😅😂

Questions: Did they find Gary’s eyeglasses in the burn pile? Wasn’t it mentioned a goat was shot and tossed on the burn pile. Could the goat bullet end up into fatty tissue burning at the ribs if he had a medical episode and fell on that area?
She said she thought Scott threw a goat on burn pile when he was found.. she is the only one who said that. The rest of them said they had never put animals on burn pile. Scott always buried them. Bodies don't burn easily. That's one of the issues. A fire would have to be continuously fed. The fire specialists said even in house fires they had not seen a body burned to that extent. The body is about 60% water. So it's impossible to burn a body to that degree unless the fire was fed constantly and for a long period of time. She told investigators the night after he was found that Scott always burned the goats. When investigators ask when was the last time a goat was burned on burn pile while interviewing the others they said that never happened. Scott always buried the animals. It was mentioned at beginning of investigation that Scott loved and cared for the animals and wouldn't have done that. I have watched so much of this I wish I could direct you to the specific vid it was in but it's one of the first few after investigators found he was shot. Also was brought up that Melody said she was in her room... her windows and balcony off her bedroom looked directly towards burn pile. There is no way she could not have seen a very hot raging burn pit that could literally burn a body to that degree. She said she noticed a small fire but nothing alarming. Fire inspectors flat told her that's impossible. Sorry for rant 😆 wish I could give the exact vids and time stamps. There is just so many😵💫

There has been no proof that Gary had a g/f at the time of his death. He was physically ill, morbidly obese, smoked, and drank can after can of a soda known for its high percentage of caffeine...plus he needed a CPAP to sleep and preferred work to just about anything else. I don't see him as a ladies' man, sorry. Even his secretary who was his confidant said there was no sexual intimacy shared between them. He was no Strom Thurmond, but he probably was a better and more intelligent man than Strom.

She supposedly was responsible for maintaining the inside of the house and that, considering all the clutter to dust, could easily have been a full-time job. I don't recall any testimony about her having a cleaning service. The photos of Gary's bedroom showed a dirty floor and an unemptied trash can in his office. Maybe he didn't want her in his space for any reason.
Not in a Georgia family law court....As for the prenuptial agreement, it seems that her defense attorney would have tried to get it admitted into evidence to show lack of motive UNLESS there were an adultery clause that prohibited any payment to the adulterous spouse.

In Georgia, adultery is considered in a dissolution of marriage. The spouse seeking alimony risks getting none if adultery by that spouse is proven. Furthermore, the court can consider adultery in the equitable distribution of marital assets. She also wasted marital assets if she were giving Rusty money to keep his business afloat. It would not have been a windfall for Melody had she gone to divorce court.

Wasn’t it mentioned a goat was shot and tossed on the burn pile. Could the goat bullet end up into fatty tissue burning at the ribs if he had a medical episode and fell on that area?

I don’t think Melody is guilty, too much circumstantial evidence not enough to find her guilty! If I was a juror I would have doubt!
She said she thought Scott threw a goat on burn pile when he was found.. she is the only one who said that. The rest of them said they had never put animals on burn pile. Scott always buried them. Bodies don't burn easily. That's one of the issues. A fire would have to be continuously fed. The fire specialists said even in house fires they had not seen a body burned to that extent. The body is about 60% water. So it's impossible to burn a body to that degree unless the fire was fed constantly and for a long period of time. She told investigators the night after he was found that Scott always burned the goats. When investigators ask when was the last time a goat was burned on burn pile while interviewing the others they said that never happened. Scott always buried the animals. It was mentioned at beginning of investigation that Scott loved and cared for the animals and wouldn't have done that. I have watched so much of this I wish I could direct you to the specific vid it was in but it's one of the first few after investigators found he was shot. Also was brought up that Melody said she was in her room... her windows and balcony off her bedroom looked directly towards burn pile. There is no way she could not have seen a very hot raging burn pit that could literally burn a body to that degree. She said she noticed a small fire but nothing alarming. Fire inspectors flat told her that's impossible. Sorry for rant 😆 wish I could give the exact vids and time stamps. There is just so many😵💫

My belief is Scott had a lot or all to do this by himself. I think Melody is not involved. Scott did it cause he could turn this on his Mom. He thinks he can get rid of her so he would get an inheritance. I think he planned this all and he knows mama had a lover and living her own life so she was the best one to blame. He forgot to cover his tracks that mama had no way to carry dad to the burn pile. Time will tell

Why would they want to kill their father? Why would they act together? Why did she throw her son under the bus and not her lover? It's so confusing, she definitely had to have someone help. Did they act together? So why didn't they agree on their alibis? where was she? Why didn't she see or hear anything?
Maybe the victims girlfriend hired someone to murder him coz he wouldn't leave Melody, just a theory!
There has been no proof that Gary had a g/f at the time of his death. He was physically ill, morbidly obese, smoked, and drank can after can of a soda known for its high percentage of caffeine...plus he needed a CPAP to sleep and preferred work to just about anything else. I don't see him as a ladies' man, sorry. Even his secretary who was his confidant said there was no sexual intimacy shared between them. He was no Strom Thurmond, but he probably was a better and more intelligent man than Strom.

She supposedly was responsible for maintaining the inside of the house and that, considering all the clutter to dust, could easily have been a full-time job. I don't recall any testimony about her having a cleaning service. The photos of Gary's bedroom showed a dirty floor and an unemptied trash can in his office. Maybe he didn't want her in his space for any reason.
Did they have a pre nup? Why didn’t she just divorce her husband? If no pre nup, she probably would have still left with a lot of money.
Not in a Georgia family law court....As for the prenuptial agreement, it seems that her defense attorney would have tried to get it admitted into evidence to show lack of motive UNLESS there were an adultery clause that prohibited any payment to the adulterous spouse.

In Georgia, adultery is considered in a dissolution of marriage. The spouse seeking alimony risks getting none if adultery by that spouse is proven. Furthermore, the court can consider adultery in the equitable distribution of marital assets. She also wasted marital assets if she were giving Rusty money to keep his business afloat. It would not have been a windfall for Melody had she gone to divorce court.
