I’m female and in my 60’s, but I wish she would adopt me. I lost my dear grandmother years ago. Martha Jane reminded me of the country grandmother I miss and loved so dearly.

“You don’t get to hide in a corner!” Even for an attorney, too much. It’ll backfire on him.
The purpose is to get the truth. This is the unfortunate, but predictable, consequences of testifying in a trial.

I hope Melody is enjoying her last weekend of freedom.
1. Melody had motive. She would stand to inherit everything. Kids losing their atm machine and Melody not giving them a cent = reinforcement of Melody’s motive.
2. Phone records. Her phone activity with Rusty - she stayed up all night the night she murdered Gary.
3. Gary’s video.
4. She used the credit card that Gary gave her to pay her secret phone that she used to call Rusty. Gary is always notified of every transaction. Melody had never used that card to pay for that phone ever before that.
5. Her story changing with every single interview.
6. Lying about her affairs.
7. The trip to Hedonism resort was interesting.
8. Her need to create drama via text message.
9. Her anger towards Gary for giving all of his kids money. She was going to put a stop to that as of July 2.
10. She did not want to have a funeral for Gary - a man that she had been married to for 38 years.
11. Tractor seat was pulled all the way up.
12. “He’s on the burn pile”.
There’s more - that’s just all I can think of.

Gives me satisfaction Because I know SHE won't ever be enjoying those comforts again! Haha Melody! 🫡😄

All the defense did on their cross was make this wonderful woman more likable. She is obviously totally honest and telling her truth out of good conscious. The gun was pilfered by Melody....and used to murder her husband. Rusty is a slimy character....at a MINIMUM he's been dishonest in his testimony.

Ugh. Every other week is NOT twice a month. I am glad she corrected him. Twice a month is 24 times in a year but every other week is 26 times in a year.

This really upsets me how the Defense is talking to this elderly Lady. I'm not sure how old she is but I feel it's wrong. It's obvious that they took her gun to kill her husband and they should go to prison

As long as defense attys continue being disrespectful to witnesses, they will continue to lose cases. If you are intelligent at all, you will be able to make your point without attacking a witness. The witness is not on trial, even if they should be. In this case, you look like an ass being anything but fact finding and informative, respectfully. People see thru your attempt to bully a witness. You can impeach a witness with your wisdom, confidence and factual knowledge instead, if you have the gift. I'm talking Columbo style. Most jurors are more intelligent than you give them credit for. When the time comes, this charming woman can leave this earth with a clean conscience. Wishing her peace and blessings for all her days to come.

As adorable as MJ is, her testimony is not credible, in my opinion. She could have come forward years ago. She is very embarrassed about the intimate relationship Melody and Rusty had. That was clear in the phone call with the detective and on the stand. Remember that Scott also went with Melody to visit/spend time with MJ. After Melody's arrest, Mj‘s niece and nephew also spoke with Scott and Chris. I still don't think the State has proven their case. I hope the jurors engage their emotional intelligence and don't make decisions based on their personal feelings.
What is not credible about her testimony? Not reporting the gift from her late husband as missing? This gun wasn’t a gun to her it was a token of her late husband’s affection. There are millions of gun owners who never report their firearms as missing.
Even without Martha Jane’s testimony, the evidence presented is convincing. Gary’s video. The phone data. Melody’s motive. Melody’s call to Gary’s law partner. Melody’s continually changing story. Martha Jane told Melody where the gun was at - not Scott. I could go on and on.
Putting in the definition of emotional intelligence otherwise known as EQ for others: the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically.
I’m not sure how having EQ makes any difference.
I do hope that the jury looks at the evidence.

As a woman who has no children she has no idea how she would handle adult children who are disrespectful, dependent on you financing their lives and accusing you of something you didn’t do.
