AI is a supermassive hype! The main reason for layoffs is that the US economy is collapsing and hence the massive layoffs. With massive budget cuts, the Indian IT service sector which is heavily dependent on the US clients will be badly hit!

If companies will be able to reduce employee costs by reduction in salaries, improving productivity or using more AI, automation. That will be a good news for investors.
AI will replace lower and repetative tasks, we have to wait and see what AI will be capapable of, if AI fails to innovate, then companies are fucked, they will have to again hire engineers with double salary

I myself currently working at Infosys.
Actually in Infosys emolpyees are not resigning by themselves, but infosys asking them for forced self resignation.
This is a new way of firing employees.
Infosys has hired more 80000 freshers during 2021, 22. More than 40000 freshers are still on bench from last 2 years. Bench from 2 years is almost like unemployment. Now infosys asking bench employees to take in person assessments. Eventhough we clear in person assessments, still there is no project opportunity. Instead of that HR is sending employee contract discussion mail for self resign.

I used to part of IBM interivew panels. We used to get loads of 4-5 years fake experience profiles. IBM has one of the strongest back ground verification.

Another scam going on in TCS is the promotion ...when you get promoted to BPO5 your salary is increased in quaterly variable allowance , however we get just 50% of the QVA even if the unit performs good ...its a big scam

Yes you can put down anyday, but it will count your notice period from next day
TCS only good for onsite but not for salaries I have worked and I know what hikes you get but you have to carry a bucket to get the promotion in TCS else you will stay where you are for long time be ready
