  • An early season tautog session starting just as the sun came up. The morning bite was slow, but it steadily picked up as the day went on. At one point, I thought I had a good one hooked, but it broke off, and now I’m not sure if it was even a fish.

    Not sure if the video is edited but you should change out your rig after multiple casts. Especially if you’re fishing the jetty because of the abrasion. The last fish was definitely a good one.

      Completely agree, should of changed it but I sometimes get a bit lazy after being out there for a while.

      This is a sliding egg sinker rig

    did they dredged that shoal out of there yet?

    • @yeezlife
      @yeezlife  14 дней назад

      I’m pretty sure they are dredging indefinitely unless the ocean stops oceaning

    This rig is not very good for big tog, I lost a jumbo this morning, same rig with longer leader

      This rig does wear out the leader much faster than other bottom fishing rigs so it requires more maintenance overall which is not for everyone.
