- In this episode of the Dungeon Dive, I take a look at The Abandons, one of the smallest and lightest games in my collection. Is it a dungeon crawl for ants?

First Gloomhaven Buttons & Bugs, and now "The Abandons"? It's a great time to be a bug/insect. ; )

Bug Borg recently is quick rpg fun.
I love these micro games. Can’t wait to find more
This looks cool. I like the idea of small easy to pack games like this.
I love this game, I love the idea of movement in this game! I love how you can die straight away. It’s really really cool! Thanks for sharing!
The Abandons is so hot right now! That said, that is an absurdly tiny game - like Deck Box Dungeon. Totally great for a work break or vacation. Never heard of it either, so thanks for sharing.
I would love a copy of this.. also, love the lamp. Great for your 'Holding Back the Darkness' checks!
Kinda makes me think of Onirim, a game I pull down every so many months and just play like crazy for several days, then.. put right back, or when I've got free time. Yes, everyone about the Oniverse games, but they're just fun, man.
The card with the five diamonds and the wall in the middle is a secret passage. It means you found a hidden door, and get to skip four cards.
Thanks for playing, and posting this video!
Oh thanks!
There is a promo pack :) I contacted the designer when on holiday in Florida (UK based) and he was gracious enough to send it to me at the resort.
Yes, i will check out your stuff on your site. Im always good for mugs and tshirts.
I think i looked that game up to buy it back a few months ago? One of the reviews explained the negative points of it and i kinda lost interest.
Your little lantern i keep getting reminded of that i used to have one almost exactly like it, mine was a pencil sharpener though, but looked just like a little kerosene lantern. I think mine was slightly smaller than yours, but the color of it was nearly exactly the same. Like a dark brass or bronze color.
I keep forgetting to look for it as i thought i still had it put up in my old arts supplies box.
Takes Dungeon CRAWL to a new level...
I own this one! Insta-click!
I actually really like light and approachable games, but this one doesn't seem to have too many decisions - or not as many as I would want. Great overview and playthrough, thanks!
What is this? A center for ants.
I just came here to make sure someone made this joe. :D
Neat little distraction. The cover art character reminds me of the nightmares in the solo card game, Onirim. Daniel are you familiar with the game, The Rat’s Lair? It’s very similar to The Abandons, though set in a sewer and features rats, items to collect and use. Designed by John Grills, who designs some really nifty solitaire games: Bleak Moor, The Great Escape, and Cutthroat Caverns. I've a playlist on my channel. Anyway, thanks for bringing The Abandons to my attention. I'll keep an eye out for a copy.
I am not familiar with the Rat's Lair. Sounds cool. :)
I checked out Bleak Moor - that looks really good. Trying to get a copy for the channel, but I think the store front might be broken.
@@TheDungeonDive lemme check...
One of Totoro's favorite little games❤️
Reminds me a bit of an old-ish PnP game, Zombie in my Pocket. Though that one is just a bit more involved.
I think I had a retail version of that at some point. Same publisher as the cartoony version of Glory of Rome, maybe?
@@TheDungeonDive No idea. The files are free on BGG (made in 2007, jeez the time flies...), and Google also shows a mobile version for Android.
This makes me want to retheme it into the movie Cube.
Surprised there hasn't been a game based on that.
I really enjoy your channel and want that mug for my morning coffee. PS: you are to blame for me buying Fallen Lands 2nd Edition (delivered today and excited to play). :)
I use TeePublic for shirts but don't seem to be able to find the mug. Please provide link..... I want. LOL
Hope you enjoy it!
You have to go to the mugs tab. :)

I’d love to get that cup!
You can at tee public! Link is in the description.
Seems you'll need to make use of maps and double doors to skip/discard the deadends?
Exactly.
