    It will never cease to amaze me how far this company has come. Day 1 pro member even though I haven't really had a chance to fully utilize the site yet (life, hurricanes, ect..). Looks like it's time to remedy that. Would be funny as an easter egg if the little circuit board has a speaker to have a "greeting" button in the app. Turn it on and when the ring syncs indicating you're up, "G'day Mate!"

    • @CPAPReviews

      Thank you very much! We refer to our 'day 1 members' as 'Founding Members' and you're very special to us. I love the idea of the speaker although i have a feeling some might find it a little creepy . I guess if ResMed can do it so can i haha

    If I order the bundle today, will I still receive my shipment sometime in November? Or December?
    Curious because I will be in another state (within the USA) starting December so I want to choose the right shipping address accordingly!

    Did they make the O2 Ring Pro with a user replaceable battery? My 02 Ring battery died at 2 1/2 years on an otherwise functioning unit and their answer was to offer me a discount on a new one and toss out the old one.

    There are 2 x 'Easter Eggs' in the video. One is pretty easy to find, the other a little harder. Find both and reply to the is comment with what the eggs are the time stamps and a SleepHQ O2 Ring Pro is coming your way! Cheers
    A big shout-out to our Pro Members. We couldn't have achieved this without you so thanks for your support.

    • @CPAPReviews
      @CPAPReviews  3 месяца назад

      Hi there, we don't manufacturer it but we do have custom firmware now so it's only compatible with SleepHQ. Other versions of our 'gen 1' ring were compatible but not the PRO. You can pre-order from the our website, the prices are in USD and we ship locally in the U.S (from within the U.S). We also ship locally from Melbourne to Australia and all other countries via DHL express. Cheers

    Will the Bluetooth element work with the new ring conn 2 or is that going to be synced in the more traditional way through SleepHQ?

    • @CPAPReviews

      Thank you very much, we know it's a significant investment but i'm sure it will enjoy it for many years to come. Currently there's no way to connect to the ring conn 2 via bluetooth as they don't have an API available so data sync will be through the traditional SleepHQ / Apple Health method at this point in time. How cool is the RingConn 2. I love mine!

    What i'd love to see is an open source version, as it looks like a rPi or esp32 based product, with a wifi SD card, and for me it would push me to a pro membership and that monthly cost. As i always have spare rPi or ESP32 boards around for all kinda other projects.

      We have an API available for developers and researchers, and several pro members have created their own magic uploaders (some have created android apps too!). Todd, who i mentioned in the video was using our API to sync O2 Ring, CPAP and Google Health data to SleepHQ and that's how we ended up with the MU pro. Adam and i would love to see some open source projects get up and running! It's why we opened up the API. Cheers

      I hear ya! The exchange rate hurts. We're looking into it. Cheers

    • @Kronboxx
      @Kronboxx 3 месяца назад

      The exchange rate adds 200usd onto a 1.38c esp32 and $5.00 of wood? I mean at $100 you'd still make a massive profit. I guess it's a balance to go high margin lower customer count, or higher customer counts with lower margin.
      Unfortunately the days of electronics being magical devices doesn't work, and engineers like myself can identify the parts (and know their prices) at a glance.
      I get it, you deserve to make a profit. You still wrote the codebase to upload to your time series database (influxdb by the looks), but this just seems really really high when you're a proponent of don't rip your customer off (and you call out other companies for it!) so I guess this is me calling out sleephq...

    • @PeterMann683
      @PeterMann683 3 месяца назад

      @Kronboxx you may not be aware, but Pro Members also get really good deals that Nicko negotiates with his contacts and I've saved a couple of grand so far. For me the cost of pro membership is a pittance compared to the value we get in return, as well as the deals, access to the forum and the best charting system in the world. My Respiratory Physician loves SleepHQ and the wealth of data available.
      As for the price of the new products I guess it depends what value you put on your health. I need all the help I can get and the original MU and O2 Ring have really helped me. You buy them once and they're yours for life, with very good customer service. I've had a couple of issues and they're right on to it.

    • @Kronboxx
      @Kronboxx 3 месяца назад

      @@CPAPReviews hey I completely understand you need to make a profit, I totally get that. You can pay your bills on good intentions!
      What I'm calling out here is the 'item' price and not the service. If you're paying over $100 for that device, you sir are getting taken for an absolute ride. (I'm more than happy to prove that in a PM, btw. I am actually able to put my money where my mouth is)
      What I'm saying here is that device should be an end user cost of no more than $100 AUD **AND** That should still give you at least a 50-60%gp. That's better for the customer, and at that price point, you get more people signing up for your service, which is a good product.
      If you're being honest, and you're actually not marking up the device to the high heavens, then I'm sorry mate but your supplier saw you coming and is laughing all the way to the bank.

    • @jeffbaker1
      @jeffbaker1 3 месяца назад +3

      @@Kronboxx You seem to forget it's not all about the "item" price, but all of the time invested in creating the highway, storage and processing power for the data this "item" sends. That's a daily cost that the "item" needs to pay for over time. You don't have to buy one and can manually upload. So...instead of complaining about the price a company sets to cover their costs....just decide it's not for you.

  • @BryanSeitz
