I tuned out, about 2 years straight if Trump impersonations on SNL and all they did was just repeat what he said. I mean, how much lower can you possibly get in comedy....well somehow they got worst since 2018.
*YES!* I was thinking the same thing! For maximum "punch", they should've ended the sketch right there. Considering the two Ronnies' comedic brilliance, I'm surprised they didn't see that.
How Ronnie B can say so many words so quickly and with such accuracy is beyond belief. Its shows the genius of the man. Just pure brilliance and with such impeccable timing from the 2 Ronnies
This routine was done when they broadcast in Australia, hence the local references. But brilliant both of them. They were true entertainers who could sing and dance. They were up there with other talent like Morecombe and Wise, Dave Allen and Benny Hill. I feel it was The Two Ronnies which has led me to spend 50 years on stage as an actor and director. I am forever grateful.
Absolutely amazing memories, I know they rehearse but still. This kind of wordplay became second nature to both of them, they had extremely brilliant minds, especially Ronnie Barker, his writing styles of comedy writing then acting was impeccable, he could see his audience, he knew us very well, making their comedy timeless.

To any foreigners out there, if there’s one thing the United Kingdom of Great Britain’s famous for it’s we have famous comedic duos. Hale and Pace, the Two Ronnies, Morecambe and Wise, Ant and Dec, Mitchell and Webb, Harry and Paul, Smith and Jones, Miller and Armstrong, Fry and Laurie etc...😊🇬🇧
Brilliant! Many years ago I had the great pleasure of attending a one man show by Ronnie Corbett at the New Wimbledon Theatre on The Broadway when we lived within walking distance on South Park Road Just off of Haydon's Road. A truly delightful evening.
That's a very British trait, common among the comedy greats! Not necessarily ALL can do it, but the greatest comedians can! Ronnie B and Ronnie C are DEFINITELY among whom I would consider examples of the greatest British comedians! Even in standup or quickfire challenges.... not shows like this which are actually scripted and rehearsed before filming! :p
Ronnie Baker is always good at long sentences and difficult words. I am in a fix thinking over his perfect delivery of scene in one shoot when the technology was not even good as today
All this present dsy "good technology" is making a lot of us too lazy to apply ourselves. Now they're developing ways of making films without actors by using lifelike human looking animation..

I was very young when these were on telly.I did not expect to still find them so funny-they have worn very very well.If anything they are even funnier..
I think Ronnie Corbett's aim was to repeat exactly but he flubbed his lines very slightly. Ronnie Barker also stumbled a bit at the beginning of the orang-utang sentence. A lot of extras were involved in this scene, and they may have wanted to do fewer retakes on that account.

That's the tongue twister I use to get my Chinese students' tongue rolling! Plus the, "Blue lorry, Yellow lorry, Red lorry" one as well! They find it so difficult to pronounce the letters L and R! They mix them both up! But we have alot of fun during our classes. Since the lockdown, I've only been able to have my classes online. I'm single and I live alone with my cat. I really miss the interactions between my students and I. Thank God that I'm a loner too! So the only difference since the lockdown is that I don't go down to the library. The condo where I live has alot of facilities. Pool, tennis and badminton courts, snooker and ping pong room, gym and a cafeteria etc. So there's hardly any reason for me to go out!
