    Thanks for sharing! Wow! so much content to explore! I didn’t know about Primeval Peril, i’ll check out the print and play demo but probably pre-order it as my first venture into Sleeping Gods. Super keen to hear how you find it!

      Thank you! I’m going to share some first impressions of Primeval Peril soon: I dived into it first as it was so easy to get to the table.

      The PP pnp is based on SG1 game mechanics and totally different from the PP that was offered in the DS campaign, which is based on SG2 mechanics.

    I have everything from original KS in the original box as well as the battle play mat. So it should all consolidate for you, just takes some puzzling.

      Ooh what’s the battle play mat like?

    • @weebal7
      @weebal7 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@BoardGameBadger it is a simple two-sided mat with different art on each side that just has slots for the enemy cards to sit on during combat.

    Dungeons, arcade, pp, ToR were in the original ks. Didn’t think much of them. The tor part is a bit underdeveloped, you need to really push to actually get there and the area is harder than base.
    The dungeons: each map corresponds to an atlas number and instead of moving the ship you enter the dungeon.
    Arcade mode is for people without a 2m x 2m table.
    33:00 they are two decks for packaging reasons only and should be separated into 3 decks. That’s not clearly described in the rulebook. Orfs curse and enemy buff cards play no role in the first playthrough, put these aside.
    I’d only bother with pp and ds honestly. The blue triangles are power tokens used to beef up enemies as per ds rules.

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I’ve heard other people comment that Arcade mode wasn’t up to much, but I haven’t seen much on the others. I remember feeling a bit disappointed that the base game had a bit “missing” because if you didn’t get the original KS (which I didn’t) you’d have to buy it separately. I’ve made a start on Primeval Peril and I’m enjoying it so far.

      @@BoardGameBadger that would be the best decision.
      To not include ToR would feel like a rip-off but as with other games, the base game should be (and is) enough. You can always get the ToR later.
      I really am impressed with DS, it's totally my kind of game, where PP/SG1 was totally not my kind of game.
