Right!! It's so bewildering to think people just vacation there, not even knowing all the horrible things that happened to our people on that lake. And Thank you so much for the kind words!! Have a wonderful day!!🌄

Yes, it enrages me what they've done. But they won't get away with it for long. Let's keep up the fight, and hit them where it hurts. In their pockets. Time to take back everything they've stolen. Sending you lots of love. ✊🏾

Dear Talia Smith, Great video. I've watched it twice today. You explained so much that I have wondered about all these years. I spent a lot of time in the Pharr Road area. My Dad, who was head coach at Marist (it was still downtown at that time), umpired Buckhead Little League from 1954/55 until his death in 1958. I went with him because my mother worked as well and my siblings, all older than me, were off doing their summer jobs and going out after. I appreciate your work. Although my Dad told me some black history (the Scottsboro boys and some of Forsyth's evil history), I know so little, it's embarrassing. Thanks for educating an old white woman on these events; they mesh with "white" events, occurring at the same time that mystified me as a 10 year old girl. 😊 Keep it up. Education will free all of us. AlmaLee Guttshall ( ne "Lisa Payne")😮😮
@@LisaGuttshall Dear AlmaLee Guttshall (neé "Lisa Payne"), I am deeply touched by your heartfelt comment on my video. It means the world to me to know that my work resonates with you and brings some clarity to the stories and histories that have shaped us. Your connection to the Pharr Road area and the personal history you shared about your father, his role at Marist, and your childhood memories add such a personal and meaningful layer to the conversation. It's fascinating and humbling to hear how these narratives intertwine with your own experiences. Thank you for appreciating my work and for the encouragement to keep educating. I firmly believe, just like you mentioned, that education has the power to free us all. Your support and engagement are not just motivating but also a reminder of why these discussions are so crucial. Thank you once again for your kind words and for sharing a piece of your story with me. It truly means more than words can express. ❤❤ Warm regards, Talia Smith
Wow very lucky we got to …. Omg I know that one for 50 cents … so see the elephants … 🐘 w silver buttons all down her back . Wow 50 cents for a elephant t that’s a lot of money
Black stop with that African American term it isn’t us. When black people say African American it’s to me ( 12 year old girl from Atlanta Georgia) like agreeing we don’t belong here . The nerve come on my people.
Heartbreaking. Tragic. The government is still hard at it and should never be trusted. We are all currently living through a mass genocide and this time they are not discriminating. Sending heartfelt love and compassion to every person displaced in this situation. I would be angry and hurt as well, quite justified. Just always remember - 🫏 & 🐘 are really all the same. Two heads from the same snake. We need to focus on love and not division.
