💡Tired of the hustle and bustle of big cities, I gave up my high-paying job, bid farewell to the city, returned to my hometown, and walked into the beautiful jungle. I not only built my own dream home in the jungle but also used my knowledge to help my relatives and friends repair all kinds of machines for free in my spare time. I also helped many of my Chinese fans repair machines for free.
Do you like my restoration? Tell me in the comments.

It's VERY IMPORTANT for me!!!
She is a electric motor repair woman, millwright, fabricator, engineer, mechanic and all out hard working brilliant technician. Love the videos , brings back memories of working with my Dad. Fearless. I wish we didn't junk all our old shop tools I would send them to her though her ability to work with simple tools is astounding.
On a side note she dresses up much prettier than any of us ever did.
What she could do with a dewalt impact driver
My wife is Chinese and when I showed my wife her videos she replied”why don’t you marry her?
I love this channel, Lingouer is a great woman. I hope many people subscribe to you. ❤ Lin 💞
Great job young lady. I am very impressed. I am now 74 years old and I worked in a rebuilding shop when I was a teenager. You did great work without modern equipment used today. Keep up the good work.
Super girl!
The boss needs to reward her with an Award! 100 guys in love with her are already waiting with flowers.
This gal is AMAZING ! after seeing some of her other repairs i have nothing but respect for her abilities and knowledge!

I observed, the girl is gracefully, honestly repair and restore every equipment. Hats off . She is a gem. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What's most amazing is how does she keep those white shoes so clean 🤩

Watching you repair these motors and generators with perfection wears me out. I hope the BOSS thanks you with $$$ and a simple crane to help you save your back. Very Impressive.
The bosses don`t worry about their workers backs. NOW if it was their back that would be different altogether.

May be she and her father or brother are the owner of these workshop ?
She is her own boss/owner and her father brother / mother / ...
Unusual in my country and may be the US but not in the Philipines and a lot of countrys over the planet earth.
May be these video is without additional helping hands. The video is not realtime and made of sequences.
But the work is impressive and who it is made.
I am very impressed by her ease in repairing these huge machines. These are skills we have lost here in the USA cause of our laziness. If you did find someone to do this kind of repair in the US, it would cost thousands more than the generator/ motor cost new! i know! I tried to get my generator fixed
Wow! your Highly skilled at Electrical and Mechanical works! Some people get saturated with Bustling city life they go back and settle for hometown, and stay happy with it!
Amazing old school skills in low tech shop, no computer driven machinery, all hand tools and knowledge. Keep up the outstanding work!!!
The more I see Lin work the more respect I have for what she's doing
Top marks cos a lot of people that I know couldn't do this
I am also very impressed with these jobs. Excellent! A couple of words of advice to you. I have noticed that you do not wear respiratory and hearing protection when using a grinder or flex. The dust released from this is equally dangerous to the lungs as the spray paint where you do use respiratory protection. (This dust usually contains materials like asbestos etc. Extremely dangerous (asbestosis, mesothelioma etc.).
I didn't see any hearing protection during this operations either. Acoustic trauma like noise-induced hearing loss is caused by this. And in both cases the damage to lungs and hearing is not reversible. These are insidious processes, and when you start to notice it, it is already late, or even too late.
Finally, while working with the windings of the generator coils it is best to wear face shielding as well. These wires are sharp and can be very unruly. Eye damage happens in a split second.
It would be a pity if you were to incur physical damage during your fine work. You also set an example for your followers, so please keep that in mind. I hope you stay healthy and continue to make such interesting restoration videos for a long time.
i agree. Health safety care is most important.
Good advises..
Am I right in thinking you are an HSE employee.
@@philippendlebury4518 Nope, I’m not. Just seen too many people with avoidable permanent damage to themselves because using protective measures is not cool or is just too cumbersome….
@@peterfrank4798 My reaction exactly. Every time I see sandblasting in other restoration videos, it's happening in an airtight box. This young woman is in there with the sandblaster (or maybe just a compressed air hose, but it's the same idea) and with no respirator 😱
I love how heavy duty the new box was! Obviously the original had been smashed and abused until it failed. Hopefully this one will last a bit longer. You do amazing work with very little fancy equipment. Very impressive.
I love the end. Obviously this is a giant alternator and you had to energise the coils to get it started until it would self excite. So simple and yet demonstrates deep understanding of how these machines work, although I am a bit surprised that a machine of this age has not magnetised itself enough to self-excite. Might have been all the tap tap tapping.
That's why I prefer motors with actual magnets in them vs having to energize one of the coils via an electromagnet but these do generate more power than with a stationary magnet.
I hope, our youth will finally not lose this "deep understanding"......

Just a tip from watching other channels that restore equipment. Use the old bearing when you are driving the new one onto the shaft to prevent damage to the new one. Love the videos.
And no hitting on Bearings.
and oil the bearing seats, grease the key and pulley; help the next person who has to service it. But its all is good when you put power to the field :)

I was thinking a piece of 2x4, but the old bearing is better.

Congratulations on your intelligence, creativity, inventiveness and general knowledge. I'm in the electrical field and I know very well how difficult and laborious it is to renovate a generator. Once again, congratulations girl, for existing and sharing your knowledge.
You are very talented and it is nothing you can't do. It is fun and inspring to look at so talented people working. I also like that it is so many people that want to take care of this old machines. Keep up your good work. 👍
This it one very smart lady who is very skilled in repairs on generators and I'm sure many more items. I was so thrilled to watch her at work! She is the greatest!
Hi Linguoer ,I just recently found your channel and as I watched I was thinking that whoever did your apprentice training did an awesome job I began to get the feeling that here in Australia you would be classed as an electrical motor reminder and mechanic secondly. No matter, you are a fantastic inspiration and I showed my own daughters to encourage them. I would love to see how much you could accomplish if you had better tools, test beds, metering etc but think you are a hidden gem. Well done, you are a real credit to yourself
She has a degree in Hydro- Electric engineering from Kunming University (Yunnan) but her great practical skills and attitude came from someplace else.
Gordon ... This young ladies obvious hands on training is proof to how silly the thought is that a woman only belongs in the kitchen in front of the stove. I watched a video fom her sometime in the past and then lost track. I now subscreibed for the future. What I also enjoyed a lot is her showing of her work qualifications without the otherwise often (from male counter parts) unnecessary talking and loud music. Respect she is a real "Powerhouse".

Perfekt!
This was less a repair and more a re-manufacture. Exceptional work.
Lin,
Take those large shaft bearings and heat on a incandescent light bulb for about 10 to 15 minutes until too hot to touch, take quickly to shaft and should slip right on. The light bulb heat will not damage the bearing seals. I have used this many times for externally mounted bushings, gears and bearings, just handle with your welding gloves for safety. The bigger the part the longer you sit on light bulb to reach maximum heat.
Try it sometime on an old bearing and shaft to see how it works!
Butane torch serves the same purpose (if available) just to heat up enough & not damage etc.
Folks, this is a waste of time tbh. This is her second channel. I doubt she reads or acknowledges Any of the tip&tricks ever that I read here. You won't see any progress in future Videos. Ballbearings will get hammered af, Material and parts will get fucked up. There is no learning curve whatsoever bc. The comments never reach her. That just the way it is. I rather enjoy her Videos like they are bc of the work ethics and different projects, but I don't wait for anything else happening than what they already know.
I am commenting here to save you some time.
Its a bit sad I think bc honestly : Sometimes I think a lot of repairs and motor failure result from the way New parts were hammered around while fixing in this manner.... . It is what it is. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

This was basically what my father did for a living, but he worked at larger company (ABB Service). Spent a few summers helping him when I was in highschool.
After he had retired they had to call him in a couple of times because none else had the skills to rewind the larger engines.
Anyway you should really really get a lifter, your back will thank you in a few years.
Watching this video makes me so proud of my family in Naga City (Philippines). In third generation they do exactly this job with similar tools.
They have a deep theoretical and practical understanding of electricity a. They repair motors and generators that are beyond salvage for the whole Bicol region.
I hope that this repair culture will swap back to the first world.
Many American manufacturers are designing things so that they cant be repaired or have to be taken to their trained professional to be repaired.
This repair culture does exist in the first world, at least the English speaking first world. It's called refurbishment. Most companies and even some private individuals use refurbished equipment generally because it's cheaper. It's only large companies that want absolute manufacturer reliability that use nothing but new equipment.

She must have an industrial sized spool of the wire she uses for windings. It blows me away some of the things she carries on her back. I would have been hard pressed to carry those motors or pumps when I was young. Many props to her.
She needs to be careful as lifting heavy weights like that can cause back / wrist etc problems when you get older.
@@ebikescrapper3925 For sure. She is not old enough to achieve Chinese granny strength, where they can daily carry 3-4 times their body weight in firewood or produce up 1000 uneven steps cut into a sheer cliff with ease.

You have to be the most brilliant well rounded mechanic I’ve seen
Cool to see the generator "jump start" at the end... fun fact - if there's not enough residual magnetism, induction generators won't actually produce any power until the magnetic field exists, but then it becomes self re-enforcing.
OK so thats why the mechanic had to "excite" my generator on my old tractor when he rebuilt it.
Ahhh I wondered what that was all about! Thanks!
How exactly does it help when she touches the AC output with a DC battery? Am I missing something?
@@asynchronnymotor4627 Yeah, imagine that you have a permanent magnet moving near a coil of wire - you get some voltage out of the coil as the magnetic field changes.
Now imagine you have a non-magnetized piece of metal moving near the coil - nothing at all happens. This is sort of the state of the rebuilt generator. Nothing is magnetized well enough to start producing voltage. When she taps the battery on the terminals, it forces some current to build up in one coil, which creates a magnetic field, and this induces a current in the rotor, which means that the rotor now has its own magnetic field and generation can begin.
The specifics of this are a lot more complicated (it actually took a couple tries to get it to stay operating) but that's the basic idea. This kind of generator doesn't use any permanent magnets (though most likely after it's been running once, there may be enough residual magnetism in the iron for it to start again by itself next time). If that's the case, maybe the reason it needed to be excited again is if the coils were placed into the stator offset from their original positions? I'm a little fuzzy on that myself. Or maybe this generator always needs a kick to start up. Not sure.

@@hdvictoryford5329 When someone does a lot of this kind of work and becomes proficient, they develop a rhythm and an unconscious efficiency of movement that betrays their experience. Seemed clear to me she's done this kind of job before - and more than once. The only part of the video that I found suspect was the welding. Normally when a seam is welded, it's not done with a whole series of "tack" welds, but a continuous flow along the seam. Made me think that while she may have rebuilding generators down, she's never been taught how to weld.
@@kurtamesbury6679 You have your opinion, And what you said is spot on. I have worked in shops my entire life. And what you said is not what I see. She handles tools like they are foreign objects. They look cumbersome in her hands, no flow. No doubt she rehearsed several times before they filmed her, and still she fumbles with an awkwardness that is only there when you don't use them daily. And I never saw anyone dress that way who works in a shop, never, and that is over 50 years of experience. I have zero doubt that she is an actress, sneakers in the work environment is a joke and a dead give away. Even a fool would see that. And the list goes on and on. Was she coached, yup. Does she move like a mech, nope. Even how she looks when doing the job, has to over focus just to do simple mechanical movements. It's a joke, and if you buy it, well she pulled it off. What I see pure and simple is an actress. If you would put her in any shop I was ever in she would be a gopher at best. Running for parts, getting the real mech lunch, and sweeping the floor. Finally, you no doubt have never worked in a real shop, to much is obvious.

Your kind of woman that is very impressive! WOW!
Not a pink hair feminist in sight. Just a legit tradesman. I learned more about winding a motor from this woman than I ever did in the vo-tech. Respect, ma'am. 🙂
U are brilliant 👏!! Nothing can stand in ur way !! Awesome work as usual 👏 👌
I am very very impressed, I wouldn’t know where to start on that rewind. Amazing skills 🤓
Firstly an amazing video. Hats off to you. My father used to do this with his hands like you did and it reminded me of him. You deserve a billion likes for your skilled work with hands where the rest of the developed world would have used machines 😀👍
Sheer genius! Imagine what this female engineer could do with decent tools! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
She makes her own tools. They're getting better all the time.
@@7MPhonemicEnglish She is a true engineer 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@venenareligioest410 She is uniqe .I am interested watching her .
Come on guys, she's not the head mechanic here. The videos are heavily edited. There's probably two or three other guys here who are staging this.
@@ohger1 Probably - amounts to you don’t know!
I am really amazed by these techniques. I am inspired by your persistence and hope. Thank you for your good programs.💚💚💯
Hello Linguoer, and greetings from the other side of the ocean.
I live just south of Skwayways, also known as Vancouver BC!
This restoration jumped into my feed and I remembered you from your housebuilding video.
If a boss is thanking you for saving his life, then you have a superpower that you must share!
I think you would be a good teacher.
China needs more women who are mechanics and metalworkers and electricians and repair technicians.
And so does the rest of the world.
I know you wanted to get away from the busy city.
Now you're busy with new things that make you happy.
I hope you can teach your skills so more girls can be happy doing engineering where they live.
Until then, thanks for sharing your awesome skills on RUclips!
Amazing work ! 👏👏
