Okay but why does watching Jesse take quizzes feel like a conversation?? Yooo, I just started the Percy Jackson series for the first time! A guy at school is letting me borrow it and you could really tell how much he loves his books because of the number of times he said "Be careful with it." He's a keeper!❤📖❤😉😍

the thing about the interactions with friends at the bookstore or library is SO REAL. there's only one person who i can comfortably go with because he knows my routine, but i have friends who rush me or friends who start talking to me about stuff and i'm listening to them while eyeing the books i want to browse in absolute *agony* like... aren't we here for books!?!?

29/50 I'm a "super bookworm"! When it comes to browsing library and bookstore shelves, I'm totally with you. I'm very indecisive when psychically selecting books and I cannot leave until I read every synopsis until I find that book that catches my attention.

For the "side-character who got a spinoff": IKO from the Lunar Chronicles ^^ She got a 2-book-graphic-novel-style-spinn-of (sry I did not know how to call that), but I do LOOOOVE Iko sooo much and was so happy when she got a spin-off

I'm only at 30, except I'm a massive bookworm. I'm just not artistic, don't ever touch audiobooks or fanfiction, and certain add on things just don't do anything for me (like author's note, signed by the author, etc).

@@mariawheeler6507 You can read it without SGE, but it's kinda of hard to understand the dynamics. Sorry to plug for my fav series, but SGE also has a Netflix Original movie coming out next year, so you should totally read at least the first book and then pick up Red School! :)

Ninth House is actually the only book I've read from leigh bardugo (I'm looking forward to reading the rest of her books), and I very much enjoyed it if that helps.

I got 28/50, kind of surprised that I didn't get more but a lot of the questions were about e-readers and audiobooks, which I don't personally use. I also TOTALLY know what you were talking about when you mentioned the whole anxiety with talking to authors! There have been few times in my life where I had a conversation with a celebrity/ author and didn't look back and go "oh my god, I was such an idiot they looked uncomfortable I probably looked like a maniac," etc.
Watching any video by Jesse is a rush of serotonin. Always such a joy!

Just watched your latest bookshelf tour and wanted to come back and say Tempests and Slaughter is technically a spinoff based on Numair from The Immortals series!
I only read author's notes when I love the book OR am hoping for a bit of clarity into the what I've read.

#1 literally happened to me recently with Marissa Meyer’s new book, Gilded. I knew it was a Rumpelstiltskin retelling so I assumed the protagonist (and audiobook narrator) would be male and I’d get the print book, but when I discovered Rebecca Soler was narrating it, I may have shrieked a little, and preordered the audiobook immediately.

I got 25/50 which apparently = a super bookworm! :) I wouldn't call myself a super bookworm but I do read a lot (although this wasn't a major criteria on this quiz) when I'm not in a 'book ended mourning period' & work deadlines/personal life events don't take up all of my time :)

Well Tui T. Sutherland is my favorite author, she is my book goddess. And Wings of Fire is god tier book series for me. I have loved it for 9 years and it saved me from some dark thoughts as a kid. But I did not love The Poison Jungle. But I still love Wings of Fire, The Dangerous Gift put me back on track with the 3rd arc.
Took the quiz while watching this video and I am an extreme bookworm (as expected) :P Fun video!

His writing is very hit and miss for me but the misses are horrible and the ones I like I find average enjoyment out of so I'd still call him overall a good writer just for the constant craft he produces

i’m in a reading slump, so i’m not sure if i should finish Ninth House or start The Song Or Achilles…which one is more exciting?
I think that the latter part of Ninth House is a lot faster than the beginning of it. (It kind of put me in a reading slump too, but I ended up finishing it and loving it) I’m not sure if I would describe The Song of Achilles as exciting/fast, for me it was the opposite vibes, especially at the beginning. I listened to it on audiobook and actually had the same experience as with Ninth House. (Started reading it, stopped for a while, finished it and loved it.)
