Charizard is always gonna be a chase but the over saturation has definitely dropped them ie Obsidian flames the only real chase being Charizard actually hurts that set especially since there's a better version coming in paldean fates
What's your thoughts on delta species charzard I found a psa 10 perfect copy for 5k do you think it would be a good investment delta is expensive to open like skyridge not as bad but skyridge zard went up from 10k to 18k I think delta zard for 5k is a buy
Any thoughts about the future of Japanese Charizards? I have the PSA 10 XY121 card but in the Japanese which is a secret rare. It dipped pretty hard in the last year but not a lot of recent sales.
I am the wrong person to ask unfortunately. I dont collect or invest in the Japanese side of things and so I don't pay as close attention to those markets. Sorry.
@@ESP-Collectibles Well im just recounting my experience, Charizard was what the stores were looking for. They always offered less for Blastoise or just simply didn't want to buy it or if they did want it they offered something like store credit
@@ESP-Collectibles I remember my dad bought me a Blastoise for $20 back in 2000 which he thought was crazy lol he also offered to buy me a Charizard on post for $100 which I regret not taking him up on that offer
charizard isn't really taking off like you think it is but who knows it is the year of the dragon 2024 could be mentioning a different dragon tho you say zard I say Giratina or Rayquaza tbh if I was a gambler I'd say year of Rayquaza
@@NostalgiaNomicsyep. it’s not going to matter if you buy the Charizard UPC for $90 or $120 the Evolving skies packs alone might cover the cost in 5 years.
@@Cre8tiveHomeServices The reason "dummies" "hate" zard is mid creativity in SVL art recycling. Akira Egawa (OBF SIR) nailed it and deserves at least two more versions of their art in the svl block, but instead, we get heavy recycling of family friendly terastral Zard on new products. Sucks cause that's the current trajectory of the tcg meta, promo cards, tin design, etc. Pokémon is playing it too safe imo.
Chrizard is not as cool as the collecting community makes it look like it is. Its just that the base Charizard is worth so much, so people are just riding of the piggy back of high priced Charizard cards, because someone had to randomly come up with a price because there was no set in price. So every time a new Charizard card comes out the sellers automatically throw a high price on it.
I will not buy any of the modern charizards , just look at the psa10 pop just crazy. Price of card is just simply demand vs supply, with so much supply, I would rather buy rarer stuff with much lower pop and nostalgia. Do your own research as there are plenty of cheap stuff on the bear market right now. The modern japanese cards are great examples how surplus leads to market crash. The price of a card only rise when demand is over its supply, with a pop of almost or over 10k, just imagine how long it takes. Moreover, during several recent research of the japanese national and asians, there are pokemons more favorable than a charizard.
Be careful with that line of thinking... just becuase things are low pop or rare doesn't mean people will want them. Demand and popularity can be stronger than rarity and scarcity sometimes.
I think a lot of people have felt that way recently. I think thats why EVERY charizard doesnt go up anymore. People are much more selective these days.

It's really cool to see the games from the early generations in the background!

I got my Evolutions reverse Holo Charizard psa10 in the mail from u yesterday. thank u!
Awesome to hear! Congrats again. I'm happy someone finally won it 😅

It all depends on if there enough demand for that card in the future.
Even though I'm not a Charizard fan, you can't argue with their value or investment potential. Thanks Alex.
Darkness Ablaze boxes being as expensive as they are shows that Charizard is doing just fine. In a logical world that set would be sub 100.

Probably a symptom of people buying the dip and those returning to the hobby post 151 with nostalgia
Another great video, appreciate the content bro!
Thanks man!
Ive said it here before. My boi zard is top dogging forever
“Charizard is like, I’ll be back.”
Always was, always will be!
I’m happy my favourite isn’t charizard ahaha but still shows the power it holds
Charizard was always king and always will be imo. Back in 1999 it was the only card that rinky dink arcade/rental stores offered 50 bucks cash
If you were around in 99, Blastoise had as much or maybe more popularity because it was just red and blue back then

I will always root for Charizard
Wish they would give more love to other pokemon... too many charizards.

um no such thing this is the god of pokemon i collect alot of the, obsidean flame should be king
Charizard will always be the king dingaling but he is oversaturated and when something is ontop for a long time it spawns haters 😂
Ain’t that the truth!
The way I see it, nowadays people that hate something is because thy actually like it…..dummies
