UPDATE: More details have emerged since this episode was written. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that the World Central Kitchen aid workers were killed by the Israeli military. He described it as "a tragic event in which our forces unintentionally harmed non-combatants in the Gaza Strip" and pledged a "thorough inquiry".
Governments from relevant countries including Australia, Poland and the UK have condemned the killing of the aid workers and have demanded that the Israeli government explain how it happened and act to ensure the safety of aid workers.
"we have investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoings"
Almost as if being careful about who they massacred has never been an Israeli priority. They're not targeting hamas, they're wiping out any life they can, maybe hoping to build a few more settlements.
Even killing their own people who hamas are holding as hostages hasn't given them pause for thought. I don't believe they (the israeli government) even care about the hostages.
Surprised they even admitted it. If they just remained silent, most of the Western media would refuse to assign blame as per their policies

Great pronunciation of difficult Turkish names. Almost perfect. “imamoğlu” means “son of imam”. And the second part of word is more like “oolu”. So we elongate the “o” sound and the glottal “ğ” sound almost disappears.

ironically, coming from a "Patriotic Hungarian" maybe you should do as Orban said and do the European Democracy meme from hoi4
Wait, what!? Why on Earth has Israel escalated this? Couldn't this spark all out open war in the middle East?
Simply look at a map of The Entire Middle East, how much land is Jewish vs Islamic?
There is no overstating just how absolutely insane this is. There is no precedent of a state deliberately bombing an embassy. It didn't even happen during WW1, WW2 or even the 19th century. Even during the medieval era and Roman empire, the protection of envoys and messengers even from enemy states was a recognized norm.
The only other historical instance was NATO bombing the Chinese embassy in Belgrade in 1999, killing 3 Chinese journalists.
If the world doesn't forcefully respond to this, it undermines the very core of international relations: the sanctity of diplomacy. And if that's the case, we're entering a world we've never known.

Well Israel at this point itching at the prospect of expanding the war all across Middle East and dragging the rest of us with them. Given the amount of missiles Hezbullah has it’s honestly a crazy time where Iran seems to be the calm headed one here.
No, Hamas did that first.
@@SpamMouse Okay let’s start history on Oct 7th I guess.
Hamas attacked Israel. Thats Israeli internal conflict.
Israel since then attacked Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Iran and now an embassy of Iran.
Thats a whole lot of countries they bombed and a whole lot of escalation. Almost as if they wanted a few of them to attack back so they can claim pity from the West. I mean look, 500+ Palestinians were killed before Oct 7th and more than 1k arrested that year. Imagine Hamas not only attacked Israel they attacked US, UK and 3 other European countries. That would be considered escalation and itching for a larger war.
It’s up to Israel’s population to decide if they want their country to be in a constant state of war or not. There is an easy solution: stop occupying Palestine, withdraw your forces get UN peacekeepers on the border and live in peace. It’s telling that hundreds of thousands protested the judicial reforms but barely a few thousand have protested their government’s handling of the war. Fact is it’s not just Netanyahu causing this it’s the majority of the population and until Israel is seriously pressured by the US to stop, there will be more innocent women and children killed and the threat of larger war will keep on growing.
Except they did stop occupying it, and that led to where we are now.
If you really believe that’s what led to the current situation you are wrong on so may levels I don’t even know where to begin from…
Palestinians consider all of Israel occupied land therefore you are advocating the complete destruction of Israel.
@@strpet27 Well he's not wrong Hamas operating in Gaza has always been a thorn to Israel even if they opted for an approach of relative non-interference building the iron dome and whatnot. That all changes when Hamas did Oct 7th now there is not guarantee of passive safety and defense and its clear that they will not be removed from power anyways. Even if Israel goes home tomorrow, I doubt that their international reputation will improve, might as well go the full way at this point. Arab nations won't do anything to stop it as Palestine is also a thorn with refugees coming in and causing instability; and anyways they'll say "we won't partake in displacing Palestenians". There is not one circumstance for Israel to stop even if the US abandons them. A good chunk of Palestenians wants Israel dead at this point from their point of view might as well make them crippled enough to do anything.
@@aldeno8055 Exactly. They tried occupying it and they tried leaving and building up defenses. Now they just do "mow the grass" as the IDF calls it, which is crippling them as you describe. Even that doesn't seem to have stopped the problem so they seem to have decided to salt the earth.

Embassy is where diplomats work. If there were 7 military leaders killed and 0 diplomats wounded then no embassy was targetted but rather a war room was hit.
7 military leaders? 1 military leader and 6 other people, most likely including diplomats, and ALOT OF diplomats are also generals, you do know usa also has a ton of military generals working diplomatic roles in MANY nations. This is not an uncommon thing, you are simply trying to justify a terroristic act bc you are a nazi
That isn't how the Vienna convention works.
Incorrect. Embassies are points of contact between two nations, and can be host to a variety of people involved in coordinating relations between the nations.
@@Ivytheherbert Very true. Come to think of it, military/defence attachés are a really common part of diplomatic missions.
You'd think Israel would stop antagonising other countries right now, they're plenty busy already without starting any new wars.
You'd think Iran would take it easy and stop attacking Israel via its proxies in Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, etc., but no...
Iran funds Hamas, the current syrian regime, and hebollah. Israel is not antagonizing anyone since Israel and Iran have been at odds for years. Its been Iran's personal mission to wipe out Israel.
