- Israel is attacking Gaza’s hospitals in violation of international law, but is it part of a pattern going back to 1948?
Hospitals are supposed to be immune from attack in times of war but Israel has repeatedly bombed and shelled them since October 7, 2023. This film looks at Israel’s destruction of Gaza’s hospitals in the context of its historical expansion at the expense of the Palestinian population, going back to 1948. The Israeli army cut off water, power, fuel and medical supplies to Gaza and has attacked most of its hospitals. It claims that al-Shifa Hospital shielded a Hamas command centre and attacked it despite the hundreds of civilians sheltering there - but produced little evidence to support that claim. The alleged war crimes that the International Criminal Court is seeking arrest warrants for on both sides include Israel’s deliberate targeting of civilians, many of whom have taken shelter in Gaza’s hospitals.

I stood on a beach here in Victoria Australia that was as long as the eye could see uninhabited with trees and good soil. I thought that Australia should let all the Palestinians live here. We have more than enough room for a new Gaza with fresh water animals and without the fear of bombs or racist thugs. I prayed to God and she’d a tear. My intention isn't to be mean, but can someone please explain to me what did Hamas, Gazans and the islamic state expect to happen following the surprize attack on Israel, the day of October 7?
My question is genuine, because I'm trying to find empathy for the actual situation in Gaza.
Rationally speaking: okay, Israel has been attacked merciless, the responsible ones, haven't they anticipated the consequences?
The attackers for sure knew that Israel is one of the most powerful countries in the world, haven't they estimated the inevitable destruction?
Because long story short, Gaza/Hamas started it, commited the same exact atrocities but on a smaller scale, and now that they're loosing the war, they ask for empathy and mercy, but...WHAT DID YOU ALL EXPECT TO HAPPEN? Israel to send them flowers and chocolates, congratulating them?
If i meet a lion face to face, i anticipate not being able to defeat it, he's stronger than me, so i better try not to provoke him.
