Lisa It was so amazing to meet you at one of our local So Cal beaches. You are a genuine and caring person. Please let me know when you are back in our area. Prin
My heart aches for everyone in CA, but when you told the story of the father not leaving his son 💔💔💔 I cried. I just want to say I appreciate how open and honest you are about the things that go along with your injury. It's changed the way I manage the hotel I work at. So, thank you!❤ So glad you're safe!
I am so glad you're safe! And what a blessing to be able to have such wonderful friendships. Don't feel guilty at all!! You deserve them and you time together making memories. You're so sweet to help your friend. My thoughts and prayers are with her and the many others effected. Thank you for using your platform for good❤
Im so glad youre ok. Its devastating to hear of all those with disabilities that arent able to evacuate. Ive been in a manual chair just over a year and within the past month got an electric chair. Im glad i have it as it relieves the stress on my shoulder, but boy am i finding it slow going. It has 5 speeds but my room is just too s mm all to move fast. You take care, happy trails and safe travels
I feel for you. My own mother had a rare sarcoma between her uterus and colon, leading to the complete exoneration of her pelvis in 1980. With her bladder gone, she had a urostomy and colostomy, and lived 18 more years. It was a constant struggle to manage her medical supplies. Usually, her devices would be good for 3 - 5 days, but sometimes they would fail immediately, leaking and/or damaging her skin and tissue. She could only order enough supplies for 30 - 45 days at a time, so sometimes she came up short. Seems like every couple of months, she'd be on the phone with the medical supply company pleading for help. Her supplies were not something she could pick up at a local store, so she was at the mercy of the shipping department and postal service delivery. To be honest, this was definitely the WORST part of her condition! We were always relieved when her packages arrived, only to repeat the debacle over and over again. I don't know what to say to you, except that it shouldn't have to be this way. You are a survivor, Lisa, and I can see why. Sending you my love, and keeping you in my prayers.
Hey Lisa! I use the same cath … my urologist said I could reuse the catheters if I ran out for some reason. Worst case, you could put them in a ziplock with some rubbing alcohol or just use some alcohol to sterilize and reuse them.
Glad to hear you are safe. Hate hearing about all the people losing everything and losing friends and family to the fires. I learned a lot about the different companies making catheters and they are all different and having a constant draining indwelling SP tube with a collection bag (bag was easy) was not easy to change on my own when they clogged it was a mess to contain the blood and urine from going all over and the infections with it were always occurring, self cathing is cleaner and less infections but sometimes a little messy for me. It's easy to get distracted while cooking when two things your working and drinking from look alike, I do it quite a lot or forget to add something.
Glad you have a friend who was able to loan you the medical supplies you needed. How awful that the shipment was so terribly delayed. Really appreciated - this window into people affected by the CA wildfires, and the added layer of challenge in evacuation when disability is present. As you say, it is heartbreaking. Thank you for sharing.
Sorry for all of your troubles with the medical supplies. And grateful for your friend that could help out. Enjoy your time in the dessert with your friends. You deserve it.
It's good to see you safe and sound And that you can count on friends when you need them Our thought go out to the people affected by the fire And hope the can find a safe haven And that something will be arranged for these people later So that they can quickly forget this and get theire lives back on track again Be SAFE and have FUN (stay out the red zone)
On the one side, in Cali, you're a nomad, but on the other side, you're a nomad(!), and can go anywhere!!! So, stay away from the crispy places and stay safe!!!🤗🤗🤗
I am happy you are safe. I am deeply sorry for your friend and all of those affected by the fires. Continue to be safe out there. Fire can travel very quickly.
So glad you are safe and you have good friends around you. My heart and thoughts are with the people of California. I know what it is like to have to evacuate from a fire, I was in Fort McMurray during the fire of 2016.
Glad to see you're okay although the supply situation seems scary. Vancouver Island has been fire free although not a lot of warm weather surfing . . .
Thanks for the update. I was concerned. I am very glad your safe. Have you ever considered a change in scenery. The gulf coast, even North Carolina have good places for your adventures.
Hi sweet Lisa! I was concerned about your in California. I'm so glad to know that you are safe and well. I'm sorry for the medical supplies delivery issue. I was really disturbed by your situation, and I would rescue you, like Superman. But, where I live is very far from where you are and it's very cold now. In times of adversities, spending time with nice people is a great way to deal tough times. Whatever you do, wherever you go, Pops (me) will be here (on the other side of your camera) rooting for you, sending you my positive thoughts and wishes for your safety, health, well-being, and happiness! Go get the world and share your experiences with us, your subscribers. Pops
Hi Lisa, I’m glad you’re okay. I also feel so sorry for those people that I lost their homes and lives like Australia. We have some incredible bad fires here too but the indigenous people the aborigines used to burn the land so there’s not much undergrowth, but unfortunately we got green is here in Australia tree huggers that don’t allow it to happen, and this is the reason why we have Credible fire storms like in California anyway keep up the good work love and appreciate you keep up the good work stay safe lots of love Cliff from Logan city, Queensland Australia. I’m on the big island
I wish you lived local to me, I use speedicath catheters too and could have given you a couple of boxes. I have some spare indwelling catheters too. I haven’t ‘gone’ on my own for over a decade! (Psst, would you like some enemas too?!)
@steven.h0629 that's understandable, but I'm imagining her taking a huge gulp of it, expecting a smoothie. I wouldn't imagine that being a pleasant surprise, lol.
Glad you’re mobile and able to get out of the fire area…FYI you have fans in Sacramento area that want to see your home on wheels!!!
Hi Lisa . Its Big Don my channel is under construction.. im glad your safe .... keep your double V'S up 😊

My husband’s urologist said the same. Catheters just need to be clean, not actually sterile.

At least you didn't mistake the waffle batter for your smoothie! That would have been a worse mistake! 🤣
My daughter always 'samples' the batter, no matter what's in it. She makes me proud in other ways 👍😎✊
@steven.h0629 that's understandable, but I'm imagining her taking a huge gulp of it, expecting a smoothie. I wouldn't imagine that being a pleasant surprise, lol.
I wasn't concerned. You live in your home. You just.... leave 😊.
So you heading to skooliepalooza
