Despite whatever has been going on in his life you cannot take away the fact that he is one of the greatest r&b singers. He has so many hits back-to-back it amazes me ,and as of today he still remains on my playlist God bless him.

Alexander is one of the greatest R&B Singer ever! Lets treasure him while he is still living. Mistakes are made and were made by all the greats. I would rather listen to him then Prince (love Prince). Alex has more soul, better voice. He's down to earth. One of my favorite singers of all time. He sounds like nobody but himself! No fake here!

@@peterreid4435 I guess they mean that, seen from a spiritual perspective it is hard to watch a child of God and a beautiful soul like Mr. O'Neal been damaged by drugs in the past. Actually nobody should be struck by the 'Devil' with terrible consequences. Everybody knows what addictions do to people and it is indeed hard to cope with everything . My heart breaks for every person who has to watch a loved one get I'll or die due to addictions. Luckily Alexander O'Neal is still around. He is one of my all time favorites and I thank the Lord for keeping him alive and well. I pray he will be still around for very long. But nowadays I have the impression he has gotten better and recovered from his past demons. This footage is already from many years ago, so never judge to quickly. Alexander O'Neal has worked really hard to always start over and be the best he can be and I think his partner always has been a great help. Luckily this woman is steadfast and strong and looks very well after him. Praise the Lord. I am so happy we still have Alex, because I am very sad for the many artist from our youth who are not among us anymore. God bless.

Listen to him in his prime his old music. I once to a friend of mine he sounded like Sammy Davis Jr, when he sung The Candy Man. Yeah I got some age on me, but at least I was in an era to be young enough to enjoy both of their music. Nuff Said!
