Started with bramhnaad Then people started praying god Different religions were made Different cultures were developed with classical songs Then we started dividing into different communities with different folk songs Foreign emperors came and introduced war song Now we need to get united so we made patriotic song This is not just evolution of songs This is the entire history of our country How we united, divided and again united Kudos to the makers..
I’m so proud of my country to produce such good music from the ancient to the 20th century musical era, they were very peaceful to listen to, this music sounded like the epitome of music.
For a country that is colonized it is. My country's precolonial records and history is 90%-95% destroyed by the Spaniards. Only lucky artifacts and documents by the colonizaers served as a proof that we had an pre-colonial culture.
I feel like India has so much cultural heritage and so much concerning ancient music. Yet no one has made a ‘historically informed’ performance of anything. Best I’ve heard is the gundecha brothers’ recording of certain dhrupads from the 16th century. I think this is a really underdeveloped area and perhaps in future we could hear these pieces performed as close as possible to how they would have been heard.

Most of these songs are palyed in india daily. Most of them are hindu religious hymes which we still play in temples.
