Adventures at PFINGSTEGG TOBOGGAN RUN in Grindelwald, Switzerland

- For our first day in Grindelwald, we decided to have a fun day! How do you do that?
You take a cable car up to the alp Pfingstegg (1391 m above sea level). There you will find the Pfingstegg summer toboggan run!
What is a toboggan? It is a metal slide that you go down on a plastic cart with wheels. All you have to do is push forward to go faster and pull back to brake. This particular toboggan run is 736m long with a descent of 58m allowing you to reach speeds of up to 40km/h. The important thing is to remember to brake!
However, one of our kids wasn't very fond of breaking....who could it be, and what happened???? You will have to check it out to find out!
All I can tell is that the view from up there is absolutely stunning and there was also a very relaxing ride in the trees.....enjoy!!! And let us know if you would try to go on the toboggan as well!

I am going to ride this fun ride next month. May I know which train station should I alight, Grindelwald Terminal or Grindelwald ?
I’m honestly not sure because we drove there with our campervan. But I’m sure you can ask at the station

Hi this is an awesome video. Despite a year late, thank you for sharing. I will be visiting this place soon, just wondering how did you record the video during the ride? Did you use chest mount, neck mount or just recording it with one hand while you handle the slide with another hand? Are we allowed to record during the ride? Thanks in advance.
Hi! We were actually there 2 years ago 😂. I was simply holding on to the gopro, because I wasn't sure if they would say something, so I was trying to keep it in hiding 😂

Thanks for watching! Nope unfortunately it isn’t free. It is actually part of a fun park up on the top of the mountain, so there are a few activists you can do while you are there. We went 2 years ago so I’m not sure what the cost is now, but for sure it is open in the summer

Is the end of September a good time for such activities?
Thank you! We were there in August, which was great considering the heat! I think in September they will still be open but you might want to look it up. As soon as it starts snowing I don't think they offer those activities anymore.
