Not a fan of return air in the same room as the furnace with an 80% Like using that app after while you get used to it and can figure it out pretty easy but for new guys it's a fantastic app Enjoy your weekend have one for the fallen Brothers who never made it home
Mike there was a nice still shot you can grab from your video when you showed the back of you bosch shirt and the horizon of the sky in the back ground. Looked sharp as a picture showing bosch.
my outdoor unit wasn't coming on a couple days ago. there was a snake by my defrost board and he got fried. luckily the board was ok and i just reset the system.
For you new guys.... if the Aux winding opens on the fan motor, the capacitor will retain a charge, and it can put you on your a$$. So, make sure that both sections of the cap are discharged by you once the power is turned off. Also, there is a simple formula you can find online for making the uf calculation while the system is energized and running. You don't need an app. Be aware that there is one formula for 60 Hz and another for 50Hz, so if you are in the UK, check to be certain you have the correct formula.
I always discharge the capacitors and make sure power has been off for atleast 10mins before actually touching the wire leads. I feel testing with system running cant always be determined if its to low to start your fan and compressor. So this works good for PM services when systems are running correctly
Hello! We love your program! I would like to purchase one of the Bosch 22 tee shirts that you are wearing in the video and that you talked about, but I don’t see the link for that particular shirt. I see other Mikey Pipes items, but not the Bosch 22 one. Would you please send me the link to purchase that shirt? Thank you and blessings!!
Why hook up guages if there is no suspect reason of doing so? Boredom? Every guage hook up you do will lose some charge out of system even if stub guages.
good catch, "13" = the SEER in that model number and the BTU is actually the 6 to 8th characters = "060". I hate when they suddenly change labeling style/type. 🤬
Happy memorial day weekend!!! Love your videos and always learning something just as simple as the app you showed up!! If I ever move to New York I’m working for you!!
Always check the system when you find a disconnect off... Had one the other day... Disconnect off and breaker off. Older lady said had no issues just yearly service. Found compressor shorted
They shouldn't be hard to find as they are by far #1 reason of no AC calls. Where are you located? You can also get on Amazon Prime next day delivery all sizes starting at $15!
Almost 400 for a 20 dollar part. And about 10 minutes possibly to replace?? Let's call it one hour! God bless you for the 2 yr part warranty though. I reccomend though to not buy the cheapest dual run caps you can find though. Titan pro has a higher grade made in USA one that is way more reliable. Ask your supply houses about it
@@PipeDoctor I am located in Cyprus. Not sure how expensive it is there but here it costs around 10 euros for the cap + 40-50 euros for labor which is pretty high considering it takes us 10? Maybe 15 minutes if you need to take down a big ladder and go on a roof. Sorry if it sounded like a hateful comment just geniuenly ment that stuff there is expensive as shit compared to my country. Do you mind telling me what app you use as a CRM? (Pricing, scheduling etc)
It costs around $300 just to get a tech to your door. Of course companies are going to charge appropriately. No one works for free or on a hair string budget. And if you do you might just suck at business
@@nowhereclose4465 I guess that is the difference with my country. If you are going to a big company then they won't say anything for a 100 buck charge to go there. But if you charge more than 50 for just going there you won't have any clients.

Yep illegal as hell. Probably was not inspected or return was cut in after the fact
Old HVAC engineer here trying to get into the trade believe it or not. Just got my gas license. Love your vlogs, thanks from Canada!

All that saltwater air, makes it look like the inside of a Navian! 😁

@@acrservicesmathewr7565 That's right. Calculated running capacitance is for PMs, and not for no-run diagnostics.

Nice I just do the math myself amps times 2652 then divide it by voltage. We go by the 10% rule also.
Mikey try using the Titan HD line of capacitors. They are made in Kennesaw Ga. You won't be disappointed
That brand titan pro is cheap garbage. I do not stock such anymore in my truck as I'm constantly replacing them.
@@georgekolos5255 the local supply house swapped to the HD line for that reason. Such better results
MARS all the way!
Mikey pipes OSHA three points of contact while climbing a ladder at all times. Be safe.
Mike I hope you and your Family a Nice Memorial Day Weekend.
Appreciate all your how-to vids as of lately. Have learned quite a bit. God Bless, and Happy Memorial Day!
Thank you for being there for me ❣️
most caps are 6%, rarely do I see one for plus or minus 10%. Good video as always though
If the disconnect was not taken out, would the system have worked without replacing the deficient capacitor?
It started
That is Flawlessness
Mikey I think you should of at least hooked up your guages or taken a delta t! Just some constructive criticism. Otherwise good job on the cap change!

Wow those things had a rough life 😮
Hi , is my first time seeing you video , Thank you so much , I loved it , put more videos
Mike I am very impressed with your videos lately, and love the content 👌
Yes, this is very good
Hey Mikey. That's a 13 seer 5 ton condenser!!!!
I was going to say...14 amps on a 2.5 ton compressor ummm
good catch, "13" = the SEER in that model number and the BTU is actually the 6 to 8th characters = "060".
I hate when they suddenly change labeling style/type. 🤬
A good morning happy memorial Day weekend and I'm number two
"Perfect"
Thank you for inspiring me to better ❤️😍😍
what app is this hvac school ?

Mikey "working on the wrong system" Pipes, whoops lol 🤣
Morning buddy
Air filter, pressures, delta T ? Why wouldn’t you check these items?
Always check air filter(s)
So gorgeous and strong
Hvac school is a great ap
Its 2013 , 5 ton unit
2018, 13 seer, 5 ton
Good stuff
really nice 👌 I know you

YUP ITS OFF FOR A REASON USUALLY
On that cap you were testing it says + or - 5%
That number is only for out of the box. That's a manufacturing tolerance. After being used, you can allow 10% to still be acceptable
wow 💖
Attractive☺️
Thumbs uP
Monkey pipes love the content keep it up
$174 for a capacitor....... 2 year warranty is a nice touch lol
174.00 for a 20.00 cap lol
kisses😙😙... just for this
They way you’re huffing and puffing, you may want to start a work out routine that involves some life saving cardio 🤷🏼♂️
Those "capaciators" are hard to find too. 😂

@@georgekolos5255 I was just joking about the misspelled title. Capacitors are easy to find.
Titan caps are trash man
keep Naviens off the roof
275 for labor and 123 for the cap? Goddamn shit there is expensive. It would cost 60 bucks all together where I am at
