I get there are economic factors largely determining venue choices (which is insane when you think about it), but to choose some of the hottest regions of the US and play late afternoon games is just asinine. Maybe someday sport will be the focus of sport (as opposed to money), and we won't end up with players & officials having to battle ridiculous conditions which completely affect the quality of the game, and clearly, people's health.

Even when it wasn't about money, you still have the coward shit show of the US coach and USSF setting up a game against Honduras in the hazardous cold temperature in Minnesota in the middle of the winter

It's bizarre, Why are they even hosting a tournament in the Southern US in June? it's too hot. They could do it in Northern US and Canada where it's a little cooler...

Yes, but the number of Hispanic supporters of other teams (Mexico the largest group) is a lot greater across the southern USA.

Stop whining. This Canadian team is very violent, and Marsch himself encourages them to be violent. 14 yellow cards are not for nothing, and Canada benefited from two expulsions in their rival teams.

Marsch showed he can manage the subs better than Herdman, but he continues to be outclassed in the tactics department. 4 games so far have proven Marsch ball does not work outside of Concacaf.

Not sure I agree here. Not saying we're barnstorming but three good performances as a group in 4 games. I haven't seen many good personal performances in those games (other than Crepeau) so that tells me the system is working. BLR if the players can get comfortable and start putting in good personal performances we'll be in a good place.

He'll soon realize its pretty outdated to start two no.9s in the modern game without any attacking midfielders to support.

For decades there have been water breaks if the temperature is hot enough. I'm not sure if you watched the game, but when Marsch asked how the referee was he was talking about a linesman who collapsed during the first half due to the heat. He was taken to hospital I believe. So not crazy to think it was hot enough that a water break midway through each half was warranted.

The Canadians were very lucky in the game and with the referee. They turn the game violent with the unnecessary physical contact with no cards. Even with more players, Peru was better.

@@robdorr1 You don't know what you're talking about. Peru is the least dirty team in south america and all teams in south america play rough. In this match, the peruvian players were just idiots specifically araujo and lopez for those dirty hits that completely changed the game in favour of canada. If not that, Peru would've won because even though they are in their worst era since their golden one in 2018 they're still a better team than Canada.
