  • I get asked this question a lot:
“What are the most profitable leathergoods to make and sell?”
It’s a good question but the problem with this question is, it’s suggests that there is one type of person who likes one type of leathergood.
Now obviously that is not true.
There are countless niche markets and audience groups that are all going to have their best sellers.
While I would love to tell you, make this leathergood and you WILL sell out. Sadly, thats not how it works.
What might sell out for you, might be a really hard sell for me and my audience!
What determines a profitable leathergood is not so much about the item itself, but it’s more about your brand, your marketing and what your customer really wants.
In this video i’ll tell you which questions you should be asking instead, and how to nail down the most profitable leathergood for your audience.

    NICE TRY!
I watched this video hoping to get some ideas on what else I can make to sell. What did I get? A whole bunch of blahblahblahblahblahblah, no ideas, then at the very end the hammer drops with "Why don't you guys drop me a comment and tell me what you're making that sells well."
    Yeah, nice try.

I do agree, alot of these videos are very vague, I understand that they are trying to help and have us artist think out side the box, but like most videos ( and Ive seen alot of them) say the same thing and blabber on and never give you any real information that will help us in any industry we are trying to get into, in the end all it is; is self promotion and subs so "THEY" can grow. In the end all we can do is really push ourselves and never give up and eventually by trial and error learn what sells best and what doesnt.

Thanks for the info. I will unsubscribe from her channel. Key tags make hardly any money. Wrist bands make tiny money. Pouches make better money but with all the guns and knives now being sold one would think holders for these would be top sellers

awesome pep talk! i like how you categorize the information and help with the overall digestion of figuring out what problems we can solve, finding an easy and realistic way to create solutions and even think about the scalability of these solutions.
obviously this was projected for more critical thinkers oppose to those initially looking for easy and fun money making leather project ideas haha.
thank you again for this video!

Thank you so much for the 3 tips. I am also been producing leather goods but it has been difficult to sell. I noticed I focused on complicated designs which took a lot of time and they become expansive to sell. SOLVE A PROBLEM, KEEP IT SIMPLE AND IT SHOULD BE SCALABLE. Thanks a lot

Sitting back and thinking it over it makes sense. The dynamics of the whole situation change for each person/business. I remember walking into a Kmart years ago that was in another state and the entire store was geared towards the local market for that area. Totally different than the tri-state area we are in. I'll never forget that experience. Thanks for the common sense tips and video!

I live in a small border town. Problem is that I make moccasins plain. I have gone on the road and tried to sell but people don't by cause they are high I think. I am a hobby with no overhead and no tax. Lately things are going down money wise cause people will not buy anythink.

I think people wanted to know what you sell the most. YOU. not what other people sell. its a simple statement. Your video title said this yet you say it is the wrong question. No hun it is the right question. You sat there after being so bold to put that title up yet you said nothing. I disliked your video because you told everyone what they already know. Figure it out for yourself. Jesus.

Baby boomers shouldn't use the phrase "crushing it"
It's like your parents saying "whoa how RAD". Just stop.
