He meant that the 380s on Siegfried have better accuracy then the same ones found on gneisenau.
biggest difference is Gneisenau has much better secondaries than the Siegfried... obv accuracy of main guns is also a diff

Siegfried dispersion ellipse without accuracy upgrade at 19 km is less than half the size of Gneisenau with one... how crazy is that?

Agreed, very sad... given they were premiums giving them accurate secondaries shouldn't have been a problem... but nope only the Napoli gets really good secondaries now and even the French tech tree heavy cruiser secondaries are much more accurate than the German cruiser secondaries... Schroder was supposed to have accurate secondaries but they are just equivalent to GK secondaries without the commander skills buff, much less than Napoli and less accurate even than French heavy cruisers who get Schlieffen base accuracy... when Seigfried and Agir were released they were balanced around their secondaries, they are still fun to play, but ineffective unless you get lucky with players who show broadside and do not know how to dodge.
@Mithril_Antimarr Schroder secondarys only made up partially for the lack of accuracy is the number of guns, but the lack of dispersion makes long-range hits almost impossible on agile destroyers.

When this was added to the Research Bureau, I honestly couldn't understand why it was listed as a Cruiser, since by all accounts it's basically a Gneisenau with less armor.
Seeing this clip made me realize it must've been the idea of some WG employee who liked playing that, but wanted to give it some actually good dispersion (I still think it's dumb how German ships consistently have lousy accuracy, considering they had very good fire-control systems and even radar.... Where's that historical accuracy they're always bringing up?).
Absolutely brilliant video Yuro! Love the longer format (= more Yuro entertainment in one package) and it continues your mission of clouding my choices as to which ship I should spend my hard earned resources on. Thanks so much for taking the effort to entertain us….. even my Missus had a belly laugh at your German engineering jokes…. We had a Merc and got rid of it because all the fancy stuff kept breaking.

Ah, the great Franzl Lang. You often use some terrific music, which often also stands out as particularly interesting or quirky for various reasons, a good example being the modern take on a Nina Hagen song.
As someone who sang quite a lot years ago, the yodelling technique is really fascinating, and of course Lang was astonishingly great at it.
He should have used some Wagner with a ship named like this.

@@bigdata2783 you might be thinking of Agir, Agir and Siegfried are the same ship just with different guns, Agir and Siegfried had the same secondaries, but Agir having x1 more turret on each side. while in WIP Agir's secondaries were nerfed to uselessness (WeeGee claimed it was OP, but it wasnt, it turned Agir to trash overnight) but Siegfried kept its secondaries, then the Commander Skill Rework came along and removed the ability for Cruisers to take Secondary Battery related skills. Siegfried was a fun and capable ship, and well balanced. Alaska on the otherhand.....
Siegfried still averages among the highest average damages and WRs of all cruisers in the game *after* it lost the ability to dissolve things at close range, and this is after 3 years of powercreep. The ship was monstrously overpowered on release, and you know it.
@@bigdata2783 When it’s their toy, it’s balanced and you should git gud. When they’re the one being exploited, it’s OP. That’s how the playerbase sees balance, and why WG pays no attention to them.

I think Siegfried's gimmick is the ship package itself (guns, armor, torps, secondary), but the Russian Siegfried's gimmick is the consumable combination.
The point of the Russian Siegfried is the combination of on-board commisar DCP ,AND the planned economy heal, which helps you deal with HE spammers better, since you can care less about fire. Yes, it doesn't get armor, which make you lose the late game brawling and carry potential, but you get the gimmick speed boost to just don't get hit.
Also you get to use Kutznezov on the Russian one, so...
WeeGee was making a ship game when they released Siegfried, but they shifted to making an MMORPG when releasing Sevastopol.
Imo, the Russian Siegfried in its entire consumables gimmick would be better if its a battleship instead. It will get access to damage tanking skills, perhaps even workable armor (that can tank 431mm shells at least) and can be played like a very mobile BB (Think Georgia). Currently it has no reason to be picked over Siegfried because its just the same ship, but a tier higher.
You're not wrong with WG turning the game to MMORPG still lol
Arguably Sevastopol's long heal CD combined with limited DCP charges can make you die even faster if you can't break contact since it just dies to focus fire if you're forced to burn through DCP charges whilst waiting for the damn heal to go off CD

suprisingly, I find agir and soon to be seigfreid to be pretty comfortable ships. Just play at mid-range and as long as nobody he spams you, you can rack some pretty high damage.

4:44 And this is how I realized I've been putting C H O N K Y armor on my cruisers in UAD. I heard "Armor belt must be as thicc as gun caliber on battleships", and then forgot the "on battleships" part, leaving my cruisers with 8 - 10" of armor.
Hey, the floating brick heavy cruiser can work. 3*2 11" railguns on a short, fast hull and as much armour as the tech/weigh limit allows.
Then again, I don't have the multi-tasking ability to control large fleets. So I try playing UAD like a 3rd Person version of WoWs, controlling a handful of the same ship type at most.
The secret is to play as Austria and lean fully into über ships. Sometimes, don't ever bother with heavy cruisers - just design a low calibre battlecruiser.
In the e good old days exactly a few week before the actual release those ships were the king of secondary cruisers now we have the Schroder "stated" as a secondary cruiser, nice amount of secondary but lack the range and the accuracy needed to do the job. But despite all of that i still love Siegfried those guns have a unbelievable accuracy, can't deal with DDs as good as her twin but with cruisers, BBs and CV is great.
"Gneisenau" maybe we should send this to jingles...

Agir and Siegfried are basically uptierred and reclassified versions of the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. Except the glaring issue of not being able to do a secondary build on them

I still prefer Agir over Siegfried as it's more versitile. If i want to play as a long range sniper i'm taking Iwami and doing same job as Siegfried + being able to torp broadside BB's and other ships is a great thing, that many players seem to forget. Very fulfilling.
