Marley Marl produced this album (as well as other classics). Marley was DJ Premier’s favorite producer when he was learning to make beats. Also, Big Daddy Kane wrote Biz’s lyrics for this album. They were good friends.
One of my all time favorite songs, 4 verses back then was norm, and all dope. This is the remixed radio edit, much better version. I believe written by Big Daddy Kane. RIP Biz

Nice selection, I didn't quite appreciate the song as a youngster, but this beat slams in the ride. Got a playlist for my 7 year old daughter and put Nobody Beats The Biz on it. She said she didn't like it at first....but she ended up singing around the house a few weeks ago. 🤙🏿

The only female member of the Juice Crew All Stars named Roxanne Shante has her show called Have A Nice Day. Biz Markie’s cousin and DJ that you see in this video Cool V is her co anchor on the show! It’s a great show and they play the hip hop for our era.. the late 80’s early 90’s. Juice Crew is my favorite crew in hip hop history. Kane was Biz’s DJ before he blew, Marley Marl was Shante’s DJ, Shante from the same Queensbridge project and same building that produced Nas, she was the one that told Nas to tighten up his rhymes if he wanted to be taken seriously. Marley Marl is the architect of looping tracks.. his scratching and mixing on LL Cool J’s “ I Need A Beat “ and “ Jack The Ripper “ is second to none. Just look at the Juice Crew roster - Biz Markie, Roxanne Shante, MC Shan, Big Daddy Kane, Masta Ace, Craig G., Kool G. Rap, dj’s Cool V. and DJ Polo.. nuff said. I don't know if you notice or not but so many lines from this song are cut up and used as hooks and bridges throughout the history of hip hop.
He had jokes and beat boxed but didn't quite get credit for being as dope as he was.
