I'm training mine to follow commands without a clicker or treats. Love and praise works just as well and I never said "sit" once to him....he did it on his own whenever I would stop walking and then I'd praise him like crazy.....now he does it based on our posture. I want my dog to read my body language to know what he should do and I'll throw in the commands later. They learn a lot just from love.
It's incredible. My chocolate learned to get the paper in 2 days... A year later I canceled the paper and she kept coming back with it. I figured there was still a month left on our subscription. NOPE! Here she was going over to the neighbors driveway and getting their paper. 😆 luckily the neighbor thought it was hilarious when he caught her.
I had my 7 week old yellow lab pup sitting, laying down and walking on a leash in the first two days I had him. U can start training immediately. Easiest way is to simply watch your pup, when it sits on it's own praise it, add the word sit after a few times and then they will learn it without really doing much of anything to train it. When u are out with your pup and it comes toward u say come and praise it, this is the start of teaching them to come. If we watch our pets and use what they do naturally, praise them when they are doing something good and add the command word when they are doing what we want it's super easy. Also, just a few minutes a day for young pups will net you results relatively quickly. I have an 18 month old and a 10 week old, both yellow Labs. My 18 month old learned the same way, at 9 weeks he knew sit, stay, shake, roll over, lay down, come, wait, kiss, leave it, bring it and give. I would throw things on the floor and have him leave them alone or ask him to give it to me. All this in just a few minutes here and there through out the day...clicker training is a gimmick...I guess it works for some people but just saying good or yes accomplishes the same thing.
I love this video so much it makes me miss when my labrador was this small 😥 My labrador is just a little over a year old now as of February ,23 , 2019 she's still tiny she was the runt of the litter so she's always been small ut they are just so cute at this age and already so extremely smart. 😊
Y'all are nuts. I've had 4 labs of my own and helped to train many more that immediately follow every command and hand signals. Probably around 20 commands for my own dogs. The clicker is a great tool that I use. The treats are great. But the notion that there's one right way for all dogs and you have to be super consistent or it fails.... It's ridiculous and not only that but it leads to disheartened owners.
I truly regret not fully training my Black Lab as a young puppy. He's 1 1/2 years old as of this month. Do you know if he's too old to train? He's a pretty will wild puppy and just first know how to act. Lol
mine is biting too much and so hyper his is just out of control i'm working with him though he is potting and crate training good hates being on a lease. I have a chocolate lab and my daughter has a silver lab and he is calm and really smart
it's great how you show us all that he learned, but are these the same methods you used to actually get him to obey you? How often did you spend for training?
I've read you need to click THEN reward...not at the same time or the reward overrides the clicker and the don't even hear it...making the "reward" they get from the click sound meaningless [edit] or non-existent.
what is she feeding him? I got a 5 week old black lab & I taught him to go potty on his training pads, how to sit, his name, sleep in his kennel but I caught get him to stop biting!!!!!
That's because the poor thing is probably teething so they will bite things. However, the way you can get them to temper their bite is when they bite you and it hurts, the thing to do is make a loudish yelping sound (a hurting sounding) which will slightly shock the poor little thing but it will eventually learn not to clamp down too hard. However, it biting at that age is natural as when they are teeting (like babies) they do like to gnaw everything.
Kendra Lashae Idk labs are smart they know what they're doing. you gotta show your puppy your the alpha. I just rewarded him heavily when he did something good.
Exile oh yeah believe me I know he knows what he's doing he just trying to run things and I tell my fiancé he can't let him do whatever he wants my fiancé hits my dog for misbehaving and my dog is hesitant to go to him and I hit my dog before because that's what I was taught but now I'm trying to talk to him and it's like a hit or miss with him every time
Kendra Lashae yeah you shouldn't hit your dog at all but I get it whatever. Just try to highlight his positive moments by giving him treats, saying good boy, etc. Also try to walk him as much as you can. play fetch with him, if you keep his energy down he'll be way calmer. When I feed my dog I make him sit & wait in front of the food until I say good boy then he know it's okay to eat. I tell him to "leave it" when it comes to food & "leave it" became something he knows not to touch whether it's me play fetch with him when I need his toy or him barking at some cat or whatever. My dog still needs lots of work. train them while you can.
Rik Chakraborty it's called English not British, but English or show/bench are much chunkier and heavier and are more likely to get fat, they are slower and literally can't do the work they want to do. American or working/field labs are slimmer and more agile, they can do the work they were intended to do!
It is not good to give them treat when training. they thing they will get one ever time they do good you should pet and say good boy/girl is the best way to train not treats
+Pauline Vargas you pet them I have 5 dogs I don't fees them anything but the dog food for the day and top dog in the state of Utah did not give then anything training them just scratch them and call they name is just as good I have a baby right now I work with already know hand sign and is only 8 mouth old and does advanced stuff
it is very good to do that. puppies love being praised and if you give them a treat they remember that. I take a vet class and I'm going to be a vet. I know what you should do to let them listen.
+sarah gordon bet school and dog training are not the same. a working dog like that should just need praise. if he will be used as a hunting dog, he will learn that him being able to hunt with you is all the reward he will ever want. they love to work and to please.
Dustin Foulks no that's not true at all, you fade them off and give them a treat every so often, this is how nature works and it means they will work harder for a treat next time
😁 that lab is NOT 8-9weeks old. I'm an all colour lab breeder and trainer. Please dont put out videos like this, it will give people false hope and make them undervalue the work they are doing with their own labs. Also labs dont even need a command for sit, it's a natural, listening, interest position they have
You repeat the command too much and change your tone too much. That confuses the pupp, which is why he wasn't fully committed on all the commands. But he's definitely a smart little cookie.
Tasia Lockhart I was thinking the same thing. That lab is big compared to my lab who is also 8 weeks. Could be a different breed but that one definitely looks like he's mixed.

As I play this video, me looking at my 9 week old lab and him looking and me like, "you can fuck all the way off with all that shit" 🤦🏾♂️😢
Beautiful black Labrador!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
lol it literally took my black lap 2 minutes to learn to sit. they are so smart.
Henry Safee they are very smart

If black labs are smart then I have no clue what dog I've got
@@shush9735 same 😂
I trained my black lab 5 tricks in 1 week i just cant believe it

Getting my black lab mix from the rescue next week! He'll be about 8 weeks, I can't wait! :)
He is such a cutie pie

Good work, lab mama.
very cute puppy
Very cute, im getting my black lab in 1 day. She will be 8 weeks
DollyBear X how is your lab now? I’m getting mine in 9 days I’m so excited!
@@ImmortalWombat I am getting my lab today.... Can't express how happy ND excited I am
mimi singh awesome!! Outs turned out amazing!!!!
How are they now? It’s been six years so I’m curious haha
The point of using a clicker is to signal stuff immediately.
You should click *the moment* he does something correctly.
+Kazathul yea she used it half the time haha
Toastcook1212
Kazathul and repeated the command to often
Y'all are nuts. I've had 4 labs of my own and helped to train many more that immediately follow every command and hand signals. Probably around 20 commands for my own dogs.

Beautiful cute pretty
I had one Labrador looks almost exactly same like him .very clever dog .
We have had our lab one week he sits goes toilet outside so clever!!!
The Labrador is the best dog in the would
I like the little toe spot.
gunjunky7520 aww same
Smart puppy!
I have a black cute lab I trained it well and it is very talented it 2 times save me from theifs when i went out with my lab.
Soo cute
Omg such a good puppy
Stay should be built into the command, if you're saying stay you're implying there's something other than the command
your puppy is so cute
I am trying to train my puppy but it doesn't listen to me she is very impatient while training she pulls the clothes
my 9 weeks choco bites a lot :)
My puppy eating so much he just want there to be more
My black Labrador is same like him
It's soooo cute❤️ I subscribed to the channel!
The key is not to reward the dog after every command you tell him because every time you say something he'll be expecting a treat
Cutee dog .
One.counter dog
I need to train mine but its so hard!!
My puppy is so psycho! Why is yours so calm? Jealous!
Hahah i also wana ask same..my one nvr seat lik dz..so calm
yours sounds like mine and she's 4 months old lol. My lab just wants to act crazy all the time and not want to listen to anything but herself XD.
@Ayush no way
Coz your not grown up enough to tame it
may I ask why did you praise him when he messed up at the end?
Wow, How did you teach "leave it" at such a young age?
Beatifull
nicely traind awsm
If you don't mind, what are you using for the clicking sound and purpose? I'm intrigued and want to teach Ruger the best I can
the clicker is just a gimmick - you can say "yes!" (good boy, etc whatever you prefer) to mark the good behavior, then treat.
my favourite dog, labs are very smart, i just snap my fingers and mine knows what i want....and i dont know why...
What he eats in a whole day?
I truly regret not fully training my Black Lab as a young puppy. He's 1 1/2 years old as of this month. Do you know if he's too old to train? He's a pretty will wild puppy and just first know how to act. Lol
I have taught my lab at age of 11yrs, she picked up commands very quickly.
I'm late to comment but even at age 4 you could probably still be able to train your dog
And how much fluid should be good enough for lab?
There’s no way that puppy is 8 weeks old lol!!! More like 12 I’d say!!
how did you teach him to sit? Did you use gestures, or did you just wait until he sat?
Wow. Sharing thanks for.
Mine is so inpatient. Don't know what to do. Any advice?
Find a new less familiar place to do training.
What methods did you use to train your pup?
Theres no way that lab is only 8 weeks. That little fella is at least 12-14 weeks.
What you using for treats?
im getting a puppy black english lab in feb 16 named chubbie
your good g.
Por que mi labrador me a salido malo?
Mam tell me this is pure or not
my lab puppy is 80 %pure can I train like this?
greattttttt
What you gave them to eat when they respond to you
I have one just like yours. I'd apreciate if you can help/advice me on my Noc's training.
mine is biting too much and so hyper his is just out of control i'm working with him though he is potting and crate training good hates being on a lease. I have a chocolate lab and my daughter has a silver lab and he is calm and really smart
Cool.😁

How many days puppy is good to buy
cute but r you sure hes a pure lab, has white on his paw
what if the dog becomes to excited with the treat? what to do?
don't give the treat until the dog is calm, so you reward good behaviour!
✨😍❤️😍✨
🙌🏾🥰🙌🏾
What is the thing in your hand
I have had this dog and my dad gave it back to someone after four days .He screams too much
it's great how you show us all that he learned, but are these the same methods you used to actually get him to obey you? How often did you spend for training?
I've read you need to click THEN reward...not at the same time or the reward overrides the clicker and the don't even hear it...making the "reward" they get from the click sound meaningless [edit] or non-existent.
can everybody stay that size
what kind for treats are you using
what is she feeding him?

i too have lab

I'd like to see someone train a human baby to do that at six to eight weeks!
My Chocolate labrador puppy doesn't do any of this. Maybe, I need to hire a cute asian chic as his trainer.
Mix bread front leg white spot
My dog was dead her name is Rani he is lab
is that a female or male
BoxFilman make, you can see his dinky
what is the right age to Train my Puppy?
3 - 12 MONTHS
Cutest moment... out of focus :'(
Waha
how did you train to potty train
Using food rather then praise creates problems in the future.
It is not good to give them treat when training. they thing they will get one ever time they do good you should pet and say good boy/girl is the best way to train not treats
But they won't r peat it because they aren't praised enough for hats what happened to my friend's chocolate lab

Actually, that second "leave" wasn't good. These dog still was focused on the treat. You praise after the head is looking at you.
Mohit Mallick
Como coño haran eso , yo solo se decirle sit jajajja
not training the dog right click at exactly the time the good trick or behavior occurs
it's pretty hard to get baby to sit stand and lay down half of is just the dog remembering what to do when he hears the word
1:58 wtf is she doing

Hello, I’m looking to purchase a lab. Are you on social media/website & Are you based in California?
The dog was born on 21 August 2012 and this video was taken on 22 October. So yes, he was 8-9 weeks old.
I have a yellow lab named Percy
mohit mallick
why u not replying me??
i wanna ask Something
You repeat the command too much and change your tone too much. That confuses the pupp, which is why he wasn't fully committed on all the commands. But he's definitely a smart little cookie.
That labs a mix look at the paw there supposed to me a whole color
+CFMedic329 who tf are you
Tasia Lockhart shut up and take the explanation
CFMedic329 is right, pure bred Labs can from time to time have a merle mark, itdoesn't make them any less pure
lol, bitch
Tasia Lockhart I was thinking the same thing. That lab is big compared to my lab who is also 8 weeks. Could be a different breed but that one definitely looks like he's mixed.
It is not a pure labrador
soo cute
