I always am so excited to see you've posted a video! I spent three months in Hawaii and came back and had to adjust to college in a city and my "old" life and watching your videos reminds me of that a lot, I can really relate!

Could you talk about how you decided on doing a PhD? I know in your earlier vlogs you mentioned medical school so it would be amazing to hear about how you made a decision between these paths. I’m applying to master’s programs right now and waiting is so hard, I feel you. Fingers crossed for your applications ❤️
I remember when I first did PhD apps I didn't get into anywhere BUT I got into a Masters Program instead (from my PhD application) and I will say I am so glad I did because it definitely was an eye opener in many ways to academia (if you can financially afford it). Either way, even if you don't get in, it isn't the end of the world and it is a learning experience either way!
@@WinterWind At least in the US, some PhD programs admit you if you have a Bachelors degree and you work towards your Masters along the way. It's hard to get into, but it's doable.
I use the same plates at the minute mark. Your lab looks like mine except I'm doing research in U of Hawaii 🙂 i feel what you talked about, always on the seesaw of ambition v lifestyle here though...
