Gracias a un premio que recibimos de la Unión Europea en Chile, nos fue posible visitar y recorrer las instalaciones del Observatorio Paranal.
Para nosotros fue una experiencia maravillosa, donde pudimos conocer y ver de cerca los Telescopios e Instrumentos más avanzados del mundo con los cuales se está investigando el universo en que vivimos.
Es difícil traducir a palabras lo espectacular que es haber estado ahí, así que hicimos este vídeo con mucho cariño mostrando la plataforma del Observatorio Paranal y parte de sus instalaciones. Esperamos que sea de todo su agrado.

El VLT (very large telescope), está ubicado en la Región de Antofagasta a 2.600 metros sobre el nivel del mar en el cerro Paranal, es uno de los observatorios de luz visible más avanzados del mundo. Compuesto por cuatro Telescopios Unitarios (UTs), cuatros Telescopios Auxiliares (ATs), un telescopio diseñado exclusivamente para rastrear el cielo con luz visible (VST) y el Visible & Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy (VISTA). Los telescopios UT y AT pueden trabajar en conjunto para formar el Very Large Telescope Interferometer (VLTI).

I know that the video is long and it can be boring to see it complete. but I made this video for my personal delight. I had a great time during my visit to the observatory, the tour they gave me was more complete than that of European Union authorities 🤣

I like to imagine that thousands of years from now, aliens will find Earth and the VLT will be excavated. These beings will know how far we made it based on this extraordinary suite of instruments. This site is truly a testament to mankind's drive for understanding the cosmos. It's humankind's apex.
