Very enjoyable interview with such a great musician of an outstanding metal band, Metal Church! Kurdt Vanderhoof is such a down to earth, humble, respectful individual! Definitely someone I admire and respect, for good reason! He seems to be just an all around likeable dude!

The new album is great! The singer sounds great, awesome riffs. So sad about Mike but great to finally hear Kurt talk about him and what happened.

I’ve loved this band since the first album! They never got the recognition they deserved in my opinion! And Kirk was a bad ass drummer!!!! Glad they are still putting out great music!!!!!!

Kirk Arrington was a big reason why their earlier music stands up, in my opinion.

Good drummer, but I have to say the production on the 2nd and 3rd albums didn't do him any favors. Funny how the cheap and quickly recorded debut sounds a lot better produced and mixed.

I saw the New Bedford, MA show and it was epic! When they did the song Metal Church my jaw hit the floor. It's been years since they've played it because Mike felt he couldn't do it justice. At the meet and greet I said, "You did the song! I'm so happy!". They instantly knew what I was talking about. They are all such amazingly friendly and cool people!

Thank you for the information about Mike. It helps bring some closure, and was very respectfully shared. I'm glad to see Metal Church continuing. The music has been a great encouragement to me through many hard times, and it is excellent. Best wishes to all in the band.

If I’m not mistaken, I bought MCs first album and Exodus Bonded by Blood on the same day in 1985. Completely blown away. Been a fan ever since. I met them in Mesa, AZ a couple years ago. They made time to meet the fans for no extra money.

My anticipation grows for my copy to arrive. Huge fan from the beginning. In my eyes Metal Church has not put out one single throwaway. Sure there are many I like better than others but none were terrible. I do wonder if there was a rift between Kurt and Ronny Munroe because he is not talked about much. Or maybe schedules and projects conflicted. I love every vocalist MC has played with. I am a huge Mark Lopes fan as well. His work with "Ross The Boss" is exceptional. I just am curious if Ronny was even considered. I saw Metal Church in a club in Virginia called Jaxx on the The Weight Of The World tour. They were fucking fantastic. we even got to speak with Kurt outside the venue before the show. At a little Chinese restaurant. He was a appreciative and a joy to speak too. Ronny delivered every era with such conviction we were floored. I believe one of Malice's former guitarists ( Jay Reynolds ) was playing co leads. Looking forward to the new platter🤘

I was at that Jaxx Show!
I’ve been to many many shows at that venue starting in 97’ with the W.A.S.P. / Motörhead co-headlining show!
I also have met many of the bands at that venue,Bruce Dickinson touring behind his fourth solo album “The Chemical Wedding” played there and after the show he came off his bus and was mobbed by the crowd, and he said no need to crowd me,I’m not leaving until I sign everything and meet with everyone, took a lot of pictures,he was so humble and gracious!
Lizzy Borden was also very humble and gracious,Got to Meet Lemmy and all of W.A.S.P. Except Blackie who ran out to the bus and had his tour manager tell everyone to leave bc he wasn’t coming out!
Yes,Jaxx was a special place for me much like Hammerjacks in Baltimore was in the 80’s
Those days are long gone for most of us now…..

I often see comments saying Metal Church is the most underrated band, for me, the greatest band of all time. I will continue to listen to Mike's work. It will always be my preference, but I absolutely love the new record so far. I'm excited about the new material. The church service continues. The reason I love metal church so much is because they don't do Satanism and offensive material. They never sold out to that. This interview reinforced my respect for Kurdt. I will always be a fan.

Kurdt is truly a first class individual! Loved this interview! Met both him and Mike RIP on their 2019 tour and they couldn’t have been more gracious and appreciative of every fan! The new album is killer and I am so glad they are continuing on even after the tragic loss of the great Mike Howe!
Also truly respect how he stands up for his Christian beliefs and keeps his lyrics positive! That doesn’t mean they avoid dark subjects obviously their music and lyrics are dark, heavy and introspective! But they are always a force for good! Something I’ve always loved about MC!
One of my all time favorite metal bands! Hope they carry on for many more years! They’ll always have my support!!!
