Fellas… The biggest part of your arm that makes up the most mass, is your triceps. That is why I want to show you how to build your triceps with dumbbells only with these 4 best exercises. We are going to hit our triceps with different angles, to hit all parts of our triceps. Your triceps are also a huge secondary muscle, and it is used in a lot of different exercises. That is also why it is important to build your triceps and strength. This being said, let’s get started with my 4 favorite tricep exercises with dumbbells only.
Exercise #1: CLOSE-GRIP TRICEP PRESS. This first exercise is a great mass builder for your triceps. Not only do you want the dumbbells close together, also make sure to rotate your arms so the exercise focuses solely on your triceps. You want to bend at the elbows when bringing the weight down, and press right back up. Your shoulders should not be involved in this movement. The bend initiates with the elbows, and use your triceps to push the weight back up.
Exercise #2: SKULL CRUSHERS. Have the dumbbells starting back behind your head because that will already put tension on your triceps. If they are just above your head, they are in more of a resting position. Utilize a slow and controlled movement to really focus on working your triceps. Also, the slower the movement, the more time under tension for your triceps.
Exercise #3: DUMBBELL KICKBACKS. I recommend this exercise if you do them correctly, so make sure to utilize the correct form throughout the whole exercise. With the correct form, it is a very beneficial exercise. Keep the elbow up and back to keep your triceps under constant tension, contract at the top, and flex the bicep. Keeping the elbow up high is the key to doing this exercise correctly.
Exercise #4: DUMBBELL OVERHEAD TRICEP EXTENSION. When doing this exercise, keep your elbow close to your side and not flared out. Really focus on getting a stretch and a full contraction. Do this exercise one arm at a time to really focus on working your triceps only.

Hi Gary! Thanks for all your content! Questions about tricep extentions: I've seen some rotate the palm so it faces the ground as you extend rather than keeping your wrist fixed. Any thoughts?
Sorry, meant kickbacks......
What is a good rest time between set when doing 3 sets?

Great video. I’m lifting moderately, and just 3 times a week, for about a year now. 54 years old.
So at three times a week, maybe two exercises per day?
After 45 years of starting with compound movements, all I ever got was strong outer head development. I never got ANY long head activation ever. My long head was nonexistent. I got a tricep spreader bar, and BOOM. There is the long head (60 years old). My arms finally are filling out and hanging at the bottom.
Can. you do these throught th day I am new to weight training and I am 66 yaers old I work in home and have a ncline bench and dumbells 5-25 LBS
How often can this workout be done?
Sets and reps please?
How about reps, weight of 1rm?

It's a really nice dumbbell set, but it cost way to much. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx8N-gevHZ6YWNoOYdRjL90vdbNyOKKHxL I guess that's just how things are now days. 😕 other than being way over priced they are a wonderful weight set. My only one complaint is they are kinda bulky although at just over 55 lbs I can see why. Very user friendly and I've had no real issues. After one year if anything happens I will re-review.
Yes could use your weekly routine to work out all the parts of the body...
