here's a shameful secret about me: I don't like the pink ones
The best thing about liking the yellow Starburst is that you get everyone else's yellow Starburst.
41% is pretty good!
You cant really say 'go for 2 colomns which is 14 points and not for 1 colour which is 10 points. There is a total of 20 of each colour every 5 rounds, so if you take 15 there is only 5 left for your opponent, most likely even less since, there has been thrown some on the floor tile. Giving your opponent such a small amount of a colour is also worth a lot of points indirectly. Also, focussing on 2 coloms means your NOT focussing on getting your 1-2-3 row filled with decent/good adjacency, which in the end adds up way more than maybe 7 points for a second line.

Thanks for the thoughts - that's an impressive ELO for sure. What seems important to me is to know all these different approaches so that we can change our tactics based on what tiles are coming out and what our opponents are doing. I'll definitely keep all your tips in mind in my next play

It's probably just me, but I really would have appreciated an extended full cycle of chewing and swallowing for each piece of candy you ate to reward yourself. That first one had me dying!

Thanks for the useful tips. Constructive feedback: the video could have gone without the overacted, overdone, questionable sweets-based attempt at humor. I almost dropped the video before the 2 min mark because of it. I'm glad I didn't because the tips really are great, but it was a close shave.

Agreed, it's a bit much. And by a bit much, I mean really quite a bit. One of those little jokes would be more than enough, but I felt like a young child that's trying to be entertained by an over-enthusiastic substitute teacher. It comes off almost demeaning lol. The real target audience of this would be too young to play the game for fear of choking hazards
