I really love how flying scenes are preformed. The actors must spend nearly half their days on set strapped to a harness in front of a green screen, which is certainly dedication at its finest!
That flying shot where Wanda flies into the town is always my favorite shot because it looks so natural and looks like it abides by the laws of physics despite not being real. Unlike most scenes where they just add a digital double and motion blur for take off scenes. Flying scenes in general always just look so natural for humans to do. Always wished I could fly like that.
I recommend you watch chronicle movie, I think it has the most realistic flying in any films, most realistic flying in general in my opinion would be the song “Sign of the Times” by Harry Styles Edit: also Burberry ad “Open Spaces” it’s so good, most of the things I mentioned are mostly practical & doesn’t do the usual superhero poses like the movies
It will destroy the careers of other actors and also Hollywood won't afford him all the time, it will go bankrupt. It's true though that Cruise will fly by himself.
I always find it so fascinating that we've gotten so far with the digital effects, that you can barely tell it's not real. But it still becomes uncanny valley and unbelievable if they never show an actual person. Something in your brain knows it's not real, without the real person.
Personally I enjoy the process of making a movie than I sometimes enjoy the actual movie, I like to see the team of actors cg artists and everyone else show their parts into making these a lot more!
AGREED.TOO bad we didn't get MOS 2.And I most, definitely wanted a Ben Afleck-BATMAN film !!! Starring Ben and directed by him. But,it's never going to happen.
not from Hollywood but Ultraman often uses camera trick instead of wire to fly. But one instance they did, it was when the Ultraman going to fly but pulled back to ground by enemies. Hilarious. that what my friend said, though. so I am probably wrong.
I heard Tom Cruise is the only person on Earth to really learn how to fly untethered to keep all his earnings and so that fans could see it was his face in all the shots. He now also flies to work to save time and has been seen personally training Dwyane Johnson for his upcoming superhero movie. It's a reputation thing, you see.
a lot of prep went on for the scene in Black widow which is also notoriously known for one of the worst sequences in MCU and Cinema. Also the sequences in WW84..🙃
The issues for Black Widow were that the writing made that scene forgettable, and the CGI was terrible (but considering that it was done during lockdown, I'd say the poor CGI gets a pass).
Chinese martial arts movies have been doing this for decades before superman. Yes the technology has become more sophisticated but still let's give props to the Asians.
I honestly don’t fully agree with a VFX women that you should lift your legs just to look like your “flying” like no? Irl why would I lift my legs if I was able to fly around? It’s just a pose to look cool
I really love how flying scenes are preformed. The actors must spend nearly half their days on set strapped to a harness in front of a green screen, which is certainly dedication at its finest!
Someone should make an entire movie with VFX and Deepfaked digital actors before it becomes illegal to use a Deepfaked likeness of someone! They wouldn't have to pay for actors 😂
That was really interesting! Credit to the stunt performers they clearly get taken for granted.
Absolutely
Lies again? Battery AA Fly Emirates
Lies again? UFC WWE IBF Plane Ticket
I am oddly happier knowing that practical effects are still used.
Good vid.
Pretty sure these aren’t practical effects since nothing is being shown on using this method

I remember when Christopher Reeve's Superman came out, everyone was so awed by his flying sequences.
Some of the best flying scenes are in Man of Steel when he first learns to fly
The sound , the intensity , the speed all screamed through the screens.
Man of Steel was an AWESOME movie. And,yes, the flying scenes were-GREAT.
Christopher Reeve really sold those flying scenes.
yeah, but he didn`t know how to fall from a horse.
Or why not hire Tom Cruise and let him do everything on his own.
It will destroy the careers of other actors and also Hollywood won't afford him all the time, it will go bankrupt. It's true though that Cruise will fly by himself.
nah, jackie chan
@@notalchymy2491 Jackie Chan is not very active these days plus he is presumably older than Tom Cruise.

Too bad they didn't show the Batman scene. 🦇
It's a fine mixture of practical effects with precise special effects.

🤣 no
Stunt performers deserve fame same as actors

Fascinating. 😎😎😎
I like how at the end it is all about paying respect due to those who paved the way for the present.
👍👍👍
I love the amount of work that takes to create just one simple scene.
Really great video, I lovbed this one. Lots of neat info here about the diffewrent wire setups.
Awesome :)
Imagine if Tom Cruise or Jackie Chan could do this without a wire, that means physics doesn't matter anymore... 🤯🤯🤯
my whole life has been a lie, i thought they could fly man, put some wires on me so that i can fly too and become a superhero

Interesting videos as always 🌍💯
Great content
This is good, that way I can figure how to do stuff for my fan-fic character.
The legend of wire...
What a content 🔥 amazing ✨ thanks a lot. This was really cool and soo much informative. Thanks 😊 again
I always wonder do we really need to stretch out our hands while flying?
Aerodynamic? Like swimming
Nope, its for best look
my favorites. Digital Doubles i Love it
Very insightful information
then the magic starts afterward in the VFX studios.
Just the comment I was looking for
All that hard work only for the whole project to be panned by us movie snobs
"Any technology that is sufficiently advanced is indistinguishable from magic."
Super cool✨️

How Awesome is that.?!!😎👍
Harry Potter flying quidditch is my favorite

Hi! How are you?
It's already Friday. I hope you have a healthy/feel good days on weekends/holidays, too. Thank you
Nice edit.

Super ça. Trop forts les américains

This is how America was made
But how did they do it on The Flying Nun!? 😉
Shouldn’t tell people that Super man needed cushion floors to soften his falls. 😣
Hmm…
You could have added some of the behind-the-scenes footage of the gliding scene from Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” (2022)!
X-men really was the blueprint
And that’s how they do it on the ISS as well.
The first Superman movie they did used animation to show Superman flying.

I guess one of the first UFO sightings was actually Superman.
Why do almost all of them do that weird leg lift thing when "flying"?

It's A flying ManTechnique From Chinese Movie.
I still think it's not natural enough, it always feels heavy instead of them acting flying
Man of Steel has the best flying scence ever
in the philippines movies, flying scenes still need improvements.
