2:20 there is a novel called Musashi that I think Inoue had some inspired aspects from while changing some stuff up while writing Vagabond. I haven’t checked either out lol but I would recommend it, it might fulfill your curiosity. I also heard it’s a really good novel
There is also the Exhibition chapter which concludes Vagabond’s story in a way
Or you could wait for Inoue to finish REAL, if fans are right, he might continue Vagabond after that
