Although the stingray is good, i want to highlight the Kang kong. As a Singaporean kid who grew up in Singapore, i remember i disliked vegetables growing up and few vegetable dishes actually gained my approval. However, the first time i ate the Kang kong, i remember getting scolded cuz i finished the whole plate. If you guys are planning to visit Singapore to eat stingray, remember to have the Kang kong as it is truly one of a kind and extremely delicious

Thanks Mark and Ying. It brought back many fond memories of Chomp Chomp when living in Malacca, we used to visit my uncle in Singapore in the 60's before we migrated to Australia. I noticed the Carrot Cake Stall still going. It was my favourite. BTW Malacca has awesome food, especially the Portuguese sea food cuisine at the Portuguese Settelment. Cheers

im a chef from england and i work in a fish restaurant and this looks great we call all sting rays skate as a rule and we allways grill the skate in burn butter with capers is one if the meatier fish i love it will be trying this !!!! my fave fish ever

In Singapore you can food court and hawker stalls @ almost around any corners. Glad that you enjoyed eating the BBQ stingray and the other dishes as well.
For those who never tried stingray before, its really soft and tender. Best thing is, the flesh bones are easily separated. Nobody gets chocked on stingray bones. The hokkien mee looked kinda dry.

Hi Mark and Ying. They were very tasty dishes. I did eat at my first attempt Stingray very bad experience. It tasted really disgusting. I then made no second try for years. Only back at a business visit to Japan, I tried it and it tasted delicious. As always, a great video. All dishes looked delicious.

Hokkien Mee at Whampoa Market is highly recommended & famous! It's suppose to be quite wet. The one you had there is pretty dry. There's a long queue for it unless you're lucky!

Yes, you can find this in Malaysia and they are more 'authentic'. Most of singaporean food originate from Malaysia.
