Awesome video, I would've never thought to use food/gel icing coloring. Does it change the flavor/taste of the apple. I know colors sometimes change the taste of my candy mix.

Adaobi Nwabueze Hi and yes you can. Just make sure you make the mixture slightly different because chocolate or candy melts are way different than candy apples.

Why can’t you use gel food color without doing the other stuff
Great question! You can definitely use Only food coloring but then the dry time will be anywhere from 24hrs to 48hrs maybe more depending on coloring. Most people don't have that much time for their treats to dry and gel coloring may stay sticky and smudge everywhere
