why do I feel like RuPaul and Jeff Goldblum need to host a show together- any kind of show- there would be sooo much energy and chaos but very wholesome.
I loved that story about his mom and the psychic, but he also said his mom chose the ‘name of a star’ in another interview I would love to see the Questionert with RuPaul❤️
How can anyone think that this guy is dangerous for children? I expect tgat children have a blast if he tells them stories. Just as they will love it if someone dressed up as a princess, a frog, a witch or a horse reads them a story.
I was literally a kid in 1993 and I *LOVED* rupaul. I thought it was so much fun. I didn’t really understand how the weights and pulleys worked but I loved it anyway. And his other big hit “back to my roots” was in my cassette Walkman all the time. Not only was he not a threat he was a relief from all the other real threats like gang violence and bullying.
Honestly I don't get the animosity toward drag queens. Kids play dress up and dance and perform all the time; what is wrong with them seeing adults perform and dance and dress up? "You can be whatever you want" is true. If you love to dress up and perform, you can keep doing that and you can do it as a career later in life! Nothing wrong with telling kids that IMO.
Not all drag spaces are for children … like drag isn’t for children since it’s conception, but not because they are “dangerous” it’s just an adult environment I think even Ru Paul has said “stop bringing children to drag shows” 😂 DragCon for example, it’s safe for children
@@TheRoger2244 I understand that not every drag show is suited for children. I would also not let children attend adult dance shows. If I had young children I would hesitate to bring them to certain pop music shows. In my previous post I was more referring to the accusations of grooming and the confusing children part. There is no reason to by definition stop drag queens reading stories in the library or dragshows in a club as long as it is clear if the show is nof for children.
I had to go watch "Supermodel (You Better Work)" again - hadn't seen it in many years. I'm still smiling! He really has contributed to American and world culture becoming more open and accepting over the past 30 years. He is just so fun, positive and open that he breaks down prejudice. Fabulous!
That’s so lovely for you to acknowledge… I am so glad you’ve had a change of heart. I LOVE that RuPaul, through his show is changing hearts and minds about LGBTQ people all around the world.

I first saw Rupaul on MTV at my Aunts house in 2014. I was 10 yrs old. I then began asking more about Rupaul until I was shown RPDR, age 10 as well. Since the age of 10 I’ve come to appreciate other cultures for beauty and way of life. I appreciate the perspective Ru gifted me as a child. Drag has been around since The Shakespearean Era and is just one of MANY forms of Art & Theater.
Takes me back to seventeen. I could never imagine at that time, that queer rights and representation would excist on this level. Revel in our victories and be heartened in our resistance.
This album and Foxy Lady is an absolute banger. It reminds me alot of Deee-Lite. As a straight man, if he ever had a tour playing those old songs, I would be there in a hearbeat.
Honestly I really don't get the animosity toward drag queens wrt children knowing they exist / seeing them perform. The Super Bowl half-time show can be raunchier than drag shows for cryin out loud!
What's that psychic's address? I mean, I suspect she's long passed... otherwise she'd have already left a comment answering my questions, so... Nevermind, I guess.
@@M_SC I respect many things... when the topics make sense! Jeff Goldblum was featured in an episode of Rupauls drag race!
He's so fun and adorable. RuPaul has done good 👍💜🎉
In 1993 we went to the USA on a class trip in high school and in the hotel we watched Rupaul and didn’t quite know what was going on but we loved it.
I was 17 years old and in my junior year when this came out in '93. It was a great song!
