- The time when the mealworms eat better than me has come. I fed them Japanese Wagyu steak, not once, but two times. Surprisingly they liked the regular raw steak more. This golden wagyu steak eaten by mealworms time lapse features a lot of macro shots, because I know you like them :)
I also added some extra time lapses, to make it into a compilation, such as mealworms eating cigarettes, pizza, and donut.

It would be really cool to get an edible arrangement and watch the worms eat it from the bottom up, and see if they'll climb the little sticks for the fruit

Second, how often do your worms need to eat? I'm imagining a Neverending livestream where you just randomly throw bits of food there every few hours with lofi beats in the background, would be fun.
They are kinda disposable tbh, you don't really need to feed them because when they die you just buy more.

Major props for the quality cooking demonstration, did a better job cooking that than half of YT cooking channels would do. Ramsay would be proud. The gold leaf is a bit much for me but I did crack up at it

Hi I have a question, with the worms, do you use the same ones each time or different ones?
Mealworms are the larvae of a beetle. Photo Owl couldn't possibly use the same ones every time because they would have turned into beetles by now.

For people wondering why some worms died when they ate the ciggarettes, nicotine is actaully poisonous to most insects. Also nicotine was used as a dewormer in the past, maybe still is? Im not sure.
Far more died and at a much faster rate from eating the steaks. Nicotine was used as a pesticide but its less harmful to them than high fat and protein foods like meat

But calling them worms wouldn't be wrong either, as they litteraly have "worms" in there name.
You can still call meal worm, worms even if they arent technically worms.

I think the gold leaf is bad for them, too; it's an indigestible metal. Even if they don't develop a heavy metal poisoning, it's just gonna sit in their guts like a lump of wet concrete until it gets shat out. Between the gold leaf and the tobacco from those Marlboros? This reminds me of how one time I got my dog some raw dry freezed treats. Expensive as hell, like $30. (not as bad as this but whatever lol) he did not even touch em. Instead, he rummaged through the trash and ate the wrapper after they went bad.
