Yessssss !!! No want to install cal trac system on my 68 Dart 2 dr sedan as well!! Thank you so much for sharing n can’t wait to see the benefits in 60 ft times n Hook !! I know there is a little bit of adjustment involved for each vehicle as well as shocks tuning for lift n plant of front n rear. Love your Cuda n I am building the almost identical motor for my Dart !! Can’t wait . Thank you again for all your sharing . Been following you for awhile . Mopar to Ya !!
interesting find with the Cracks, makes me wonder if inboard kit would be best bet although you have to cut into frame. Also it would be nice to see if you find more horsepower in the upper RPM range, Maybe taller tire would help with traction as well as wider , i think you can pu 275/60/15 under the Barracuda unless you are just doing 1/8th mile. i got a call from my machine shop and they said Oh did you want a Stoker build? we ordered a stock crank and machinist saw it was notched for a stroker on block............sometimes ya just got to laugh
Those look sweeet!! Do you like these better than the super stock springs? I have to choose by this Friday if I’m going Caltrac set up or Super Stock 6 leafs. I’m going with the Calvert adj shocks so far. Any thoughts would be appreciated 👍
Hey, could I ask how much you spent on your 318? I'm planning an engine build and im using a similar setup to you but I plan on making a baseline of 700 to 750 na and having a 100 shot of nitrous to lean on. I've estimated about 10,000 bucks for that setup. Is that over the top? I'm just curious if my plans are comparable to yours.
You’re definitely in the ballpark on cost. I also spent another $800 on TTI headers which I included in my whole engine build total. It ended up being around $11,000 for me in the end. All the block machining, bearings, gaskets, pistons, rods, and so on.
@@garysgarage9827 im making a 340 out of a 360 magnum. Honestly im going for spool speed and the name. But I cant bear to have a normal engine build, I always have some sort of twist. I even plan on making myself a pair of custom full race cross ram intakes. Im going all out on sixties mopar power options
If you have an extra 2000 bucks laying around you could take your bottom end(minus the pistons) and your top end. Get a 40 thou overbore 360 block and put the 318 bottom end with main bearing shim spacer thingies and have yourself a 340. You'll gain more on your top end power and it wouldnt be much of a weight difference to my knowledge
