We covered the circuit board with liquid electrical tape before install. Hope you did the same, as we read they will give in to the weather due to a bit of a product design failure. You can do this after install anyway. They market the clear version as a selling point as higher price, but we wouldn’t want it as more high energy protons shoot through warming the space, and who needs to look through there to check the weather when there are many windows. Clear would need lots of cleaning too.
I just had this fan installed on our trailer. How did you put it into ceiling fan mode? The dealer that installed the fan didn't leave e the instruction manual. Thanks.
I have 3 of these. 2 came with our 5th wheel and the one I had installed. The one I had installed is the MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed . It is supposed to blow air out or in. Well guess what ? It blows air out but not inward. You can watch the fan blade stop and reverse itself and go in the opposite direction. Makes no difference at all. It does not blow the air in. It was a total waste of money to buy this fan. There is no support for it at all. NONE! I have sent several e-mails and have tried to call them. Nobody is home to answer the phone for sure. What a sorry company for support. I honestly think they have an issue with this fan ,but are dodging it. I know others with the same issue I have with it. Just junk and poor support is all I can tell you.
