    What'd you think of Abbottabad?
This clip is from my travel film "My Journey into a Restricted Region." Watch it now at ruclips.net/video/cQB0_ZuD0M0/видео.html.
The journey continues all the way to the China border, through Skardu, and back to India too!

0:45 - Pakistani here who recently hosted office superiors from the Philippines and travelled across 5 cities including Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Karachi. This is not an Abbottabad only issue. All foreigners are required to be registered, and the hotel has to inform the police station, so the police can give a free of cost security detail (Pain in the ass TBH) to them or at least send a policeman to the hotel lobby. In Multan, we got a Hilux pickup truck full of Police guys with AK-47s, and they wouldn't leave us for anything. They were with us even as we ventured into the walled city area, where they had to lead the way on foot. In the rest of the cities, we were basically on our own, but the hotel just asked us where we are going and when we will be back so they can inform the police. Sometimes we got a bike with 2 policemen. Depends on the city and the security sensitivity at the time, unfortunately.

I tried to visit the compound in 2013. The secret police visited me 3 times. I thought I was being followed so shelved my compound plans. Greetings from Australia.

@@KarlRock You're our guest, Karl! 😊 I'm a big fan of your travels. If you’re looking for amazing places, make sure to visit Hunza Valley, the ancient city of Multan, and the beautiful landscapes of Swat. Just one request-explore Pakistan like a tourist, not like a spy! 😄 Enjoy your journey and the incredible hospitality of the people here!
