You are correct the purple guitar is on a stand. He uses it to keep his arm rested, so he does not have to carry the weight of the guitar on his right arm, as that is the arm he has tenosynovitis. I had the same thing in my left, and it takes years for it to get better, basically it's from over stretching the tendons, for me it took 20-25 years for mine to fully recover. Yes Jill (violin) did a cover of Eruption for the sub-unit of Unlucky Morpheus called "QUADRATUM From Unlucky Morpheus" or just "QUADRATUM" for short, it was released about 1 1/2 years ago. He had stuff on his costume that made it look like a stand though. I slowed it down, but it still wasn't clear enough. Their videos are all so well done. (I wrote the next sentence before you mentioned it in this video...LOL) The vocalist sounds very much like the LOVEBITES vocalist (or vice versa), almost like operatic rock. Also they both use ballet like movements with their hands and arms. Although this song is great, my personal favorite follows. Probably in my Top 10 of all videos on YT.
