I love Ice Cube in the 2nd film. His role got expanded and he was so damn funny. But this was a great jumping off point for a film series. A third has been rumored for awhile but got stalled with COVID.
These two movies are a darn riot!

5:07 - and then people seriously believe that if policeman hadn't read Miranda rights, they are not under arrest. And get more charges for resisting or such. Miranda rights are read for the questioning, not for arrest!

Fun fact. You only are required to read Miranda rights before questioning. Any thing that the person says prior to being read their rights cannot be used in court. There is no requirement to read Miranda during an arrest
It is amazing how many guilty people will talk, and then volunteer for an interrogation and never ask for a lawyer or just leave.
Also “the right to a phone call” is a hollywood thing. No law in the US gives you that right. It’s a courtesy offered, but getting belligerent will lose you that privilege.
Dev I gotta say this, I can tell you hired a new editor or upped your editing game over the last few weeks or months, it’s a huge upgrade and can tell the difference. From when I first started watching your vids a year or 2 back. Keep it up dawg they quality is a lot better. love the comedy movies

This is comedy and a movie lol, but in reality, the cops only have to read your Miranda rights if they are going to question you about incriminating info. Otherwise, they can arrest you, take you to jail and everything without ever reading them to you. A lot of times, they’ll read them to you just in case you start talking about the current or other crimes the arrestee has committed unprovoked.

After the sequel (22 Jump street) they had planned to make a crossover movie between Jump Street and Men In Black. It would have been hilarious I’m sure, but it got canceled due to legal issues and then they made the crap fest fourth MIB movie with Chris Hemsworth instead
