i think it's about being alone in the world. as you said "we're spinning in the same orbit, but you're always looking someplace else" it's like they're all together but nobody notices her. Earlier in the songs too the lyrics also say "that bright light not even one light reaches where i am" and "alone underneath the cold shade, as if i wasn't there in the first place" so you can imagine being so alone in the world full of people and lights. and to me the "you" in "the beautiful you" and "the unforgettable you" are both "My Tragedy", so it's like her tragedy is somehow both beautiful and unforgettable
I didn’t immediately like this song when I listened to it for the first time but it did throw me off guard because of how interesting the instrumentals are and how Taeyeon’s vocals keep building up the song. This song is just another BRILLIANT song out of this MASTERPIECE of an album, istg 😭 I highly recommend “Drawing Our Moments”!!! It’s a ballad but the buildup is crazy good. Taeyeon has a lot of good ballads but this song, along with “U R” (from her debut album ‘I’) top the list of Taeyeon’s best ballads imo. It’s a song that is definitely worth checking out.
