- Welcome to the ninth installment in the Steam Trains Galore series! In this video, we will revisit some well known railroads along with some new ones. Railroads featured include the Iowa Interstate, Cumbres and Toltec, Texas State, Virginia and Truckee, and the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Locomotives in several different sizes are included - everything from smaller narrow gauge locomotives to a large standard gauge 2-10-2. To finish off, we will see a steam powered rotary snow plow as it battles a steep grade in Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado. Filmed completely in 4K, Steam Trains Galore 9 promises to be the best video in the series yet!

Hi there, I just wanted to share my appreciation for these videos. My 3 year old son LOVES trains; Thomas and Friends, Chuggington, his train toys and various train videos. He has fallen in love with your videos. Every time a video ends, he tells me, "More trains please", and absolutely loves all the trains, not just steam engines, but the diesels, the electrics, the trolleys and the toys! Thank you for bringing joy to this lil railfan.
Ah trains....my mother always told me ever since i was young, i always had a fascination of trains...til this day not I or my mother knows why. I just love the sound....the way they look and how fast they can go

Tremont and Gulf 30 was just highballing with that load. Even the setup looks very 1930's and 1940's like. I would like to see a video with a 1930's and 40's camera filter with Tremont and Gulf 30 highballing with the freight load

I'm absolutely stunned at how beautiful those shots of the Virginia and Truckee Railroad are. I've been dreaming of getting some of those locations, and others are beyond anything I could have conceptualized. Absolutely, insanely wonderful. I cannot compliment you enough.

Very well done video, now I know what my grand dad seen when he was young in 1940, lol , again, very well done video, plus, you can tell the oil burners from the coal burners obviously, but this is pure steam!

It’s great to see 6988 in your channel! I took countless train trips hauled by QJ class steam engines when I was a little boy in China. I really hope 7081 can keep its original red wheels and whistle.

@@ELOfanatic From what I've heard, they were using up the rest of the coal they had before it went in for it's mandated inspection. The hoppers that are being pulled were more than likely being used for freight service, as opposed to being used for show
