There are quite a few things you didn’t talk about or gazed over. Like how you can use the Logitech Folio handheld. I probably won’t use it that way very often but it’s nice that it’s an option. Maybe you mentioned it but I missed it. Also, there’s a movie-like position mode for presentation, also a sketch mode position for drawing on the iPad with Logitech Folio. All things that make the Logitech Folio more flexible (literally) than the magic keyboard (which is a great keyboard as well). Just seems like you only made this video to say the magic keyboard is a trillion miles better than Logitech folio. I saw the product breakdown and it’s so worth it for the price but not even if you’re looking for budget. Even if you have the extra money to spend, the Logitech Pro is a severely great option alongside the magic keyboard. Durable, easy to use and things like the diving board trackpad is easy to get over, 🤷🏾♂️
That's the theme with all his videos. He is an apple sheep. Exaggerates anything that apple does a teeny tiny better and passingly mentions the achievements of competitors all the while making excuses for why apple is a victim who couldn't make their product better. For ref, see where he compares trackpad sizes.
I think Max Tech has been using the Magic Keyboard for a while and the review is biased for that as the element of nostalgia kicks in. Logitech Folio Touch is objectively much better given the price and features.
Please answer this: can you just tap to click on the folio touch, or do you have to click it? I personally prefer just tapping so if it doesn’t click it doesn’t really matter, as long as you can click on the top
8:46 You’ll notice here that the Logitech has some lag to it. If you slow the video down to .25x speed, you’ll notice that when he lifts his fingers off of the keys and stops typing, the characters continue to input for quite a moment, compared to the magic keyboard where the input stops as soon as he lifts his fingers off of the keys and stops typing. You’ll also see the issue at 9:26. It’s pretty noticeable in my opinion, even playing at normal speed
Update of the firmware or of Logitech App? How do I know if the firmware has been updated? I am sill having keystroke recognition and cursor issues (but I am running the developer Beta). Please clarify. Thanks
You have to update iPadOS to the latest version and then the keyboard backlighting will work for the logitech keyboard. Let me know if it works. Also, do you know if logitech will be making one for the 12.9?
I'm just wondering are the keys smaller since on the magic keyboard some of the keys are squished together, while it doesn't seem to be on the folio touch.
i have that keyboard and arrived today. the keyboard is actually amazing and wider. and from the video says, its lagging. after today's update, everything is smooth and so good.
Honestly, I have gotten used to the magic keyboard. With the 11 inch iPad Pro. I actually like how close they are, it’s easier to reach to the keys. Not a downside at all
The thing that I love about the combo touch is the fact that the keyboard portion was able to disconnect from the case. As someone who uses my iPad for mostly handwriting, I really hoped that the folio would have a similar ability to detach the keyboard as it is what makes the combo touch so great in my opinion.
ADS SY I think the detach isn’t a feature most likely front the different locations of the smart connector. On the pro it is on the back while the air and iPad have it on the horizontal bottom of the device where the keyboard would detach so I assume it was an engineering complexity to add it in. Even still, I would be willing to pay a bit more for such a feature since it is something I would use constantly and is the reason I don’t have the magic keyboard, even tho it detaches it doesn’t provide protection.
Its usually nice when you’re in bed and you rest the ipad a little bit more elevated than your usual set up... Idk may be a different experience for others, but it’s definitely convenient
@@MaxTechOfficial Thank you sir I'm watching ur videos all the time. Your the best tech reviewer I've ever met. Keep it up sir.. I'm following Max Tech always! From the 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭GBU
Am I the only one who noticed? In 13:57 - 14:20 he keeps talking about the brydgepro+ keyboard but it was not flashed in the video, it was rather the logitech combo touch for the regular ipad (i think) but still, kudos to you and your team! Nice review. I'm definitely gonna get this rather than the smart keyboard folio by apple.
I like the naked feel, but my hands are very clumsy and my current iPad Pro 10.5 is basically shattered. Price does not matter, which should I buy? Also looking for 11 inch iPad Pro, any deals?
go for the logitech, the hinge of the magic keyboard case to keep it for drawing makes me nervous that over time it’ll be damaged. Also if the magic keyboard drops, that iPad is definitely breaking. Pay 300 for no protection is kinda silly
It’s a subtle feature but the Logitech flap has a small sleeve in it to store the pencil even more securely. The Slim Folio Pro has it and I saw it on this video too.
Logitech just updated the keyboard configuration app in the past day or so to fully support the iPad Pro. Previously, it was only flashed for the Pro 10.5" and 3rd gen Air.
The things that they do right just feel so much better, everyone would want that extra little thing but I appreciate when they give me something I didn't even knew I wanted.
impendio exactly, and I would argue that one should see it as an investment, I have an iphone 7s+ and it works wonders! also a mac form 2014. They are products to last definitely and you should give them the accessories required imo.
Anyone knows if the keyboard behind Logitech stop rocking when u turn it to the back os the iPad? Because if it continues running then we can’t actually use it with the keyboard on the back...
This dude is truly an apple fan boy and did not give the Folio a fair shake. I have owned both and returned the Apple keyboard. Why? I wanted to be able to prop it up for hand written notes. If you are someone who writes with your Apple Pencil then the Logitech case is a clear winner. Another note, the backlight issue was resolved. It works great.
I spent $328 on the magic keyboard plus $28 for a skin to cover the keyboard surface plus $43 on the cover buddy to kind of protect the back and sides and provide the place for the Apple Pencil, total 399. Plus tax. A Logitech rep just told me I can maybe expect a12.9 version of this more complete and useful keyboard case in a month, which would allow me to get back about $200, if I return the case Buddy this week. Or I can return all the accessories and the iPad Pro and almost have enough for a 16” MacBook Pro (yeah, I’d buy it instead of waiting)
really waiting for you to review iPad Pro 2020 Folio touch man ! great review as always . Magic Keyboard is gorgeous but now i prefer Logitech Folio Touch . It's more practical than the magic keyboard , *less aesthetic but more protection* . Folio touch have function keys too which makes it more closer to a MacBook . and budget wise (which makes me possible to purchase lol) Magic Keyboard is almost the half the price of iPad Pro 11" ($300) which is hella insane for a keyboard and a trackpad . Overall , the $160 Logitech Folio Touch is the real game changer for the iPad Pro 2020
Got it today and already decided to return it. It’s great, for the most part, but much bulkier and heavier than the apple magic keyboard case. I don’t know about you but I never have dropped an iPad so all that extra protection is a bit my. The function row is amazing and I don’t know how Apple missed that. This thing is heavy. Main reason I am returning is due to lack of lap usability. It is impossible to use it on your lap if you want to use the keyboard.
I find it surprisingly good in the lap, granted that I normally use it when sitting in bed or sitting in a recliner with my feet on an ottoman. Though I am typing now with my feet on the floor and it is fine as well.
Thank you for a really unbiased comparison. While I have a different Logitech Slim Folio kB for my iPadAir3, it has similar function keys. One of them I’ve never noticed before is the onscreen keyboard key. Thanks for enlightening me !!!
I tested the MK the only downside i found is that if you are a writer or do a lot of typing it's not comfortable, keys are very compressed close to each other and I would prefer more key travel
the only gripe I have with the video is the clear bias towards the magic keyboard just because it's apple. otherwise this is a great review outlining definitive differences between products
He mentioned how the Logitech was better in some ways than the magic keyboard multiple times throughout the video. Jesus christ you can’t say one positive about Apple ever without being called a fanboy lol
I would choose the Logitech keyboard mainly for the writing mode. I plan to do a lot of handwritten note-taking and the MK simply doesn't allow me to do so without taking the iPad out.
It all comes down to price. The magic keyboard is almost double the price of the Logitech Folio Touch, and I don’t think it’s double better! If that makes sense lol
Re-tethered Tech can u tell me where I can but it from for the iPad Pro 2020 (4th gen) 11 inch cause i couldn’t find it anywhere if so can u plsssssss send a link pls
Great review but you never talked about accessories that plug into the iPad. I've been hearing that the Logitech Folio Touch will not work on many accessories, one of those being the USB-C HUB due to the sides being covered in the plastic case but it does work with the Magic Keyboard..........your thoughts on this??
@@meese1k Haha! I'd take 'plasticky denim' over that soft leather-like material of the Magic Keyboard. I have the Magic Keyboard and let me tell you, the thing is an oil magnet. Doesn't look all that great after some use no matter how much you try to keep it looking like new.
Haven’t received my M1 iPad Pro yet, but got the Logitech Folio Touch case to go along with it as I’m loving the Combo Touch on my iPad Air 3! Half the price, function keys, personally think it looks a lot nicer, more protective, and still has a keyboard I quite enjoy typing on. Also find it’s lapable enough and strongly prefer the design for media consumption. Greatly appreciate being able to hide the keyboard and prop the iPad up on my lap with the kickstand.
Bought a simple procase for now but thinking i will eventually get the magic keyboard. Do you know if it will work with the other case still attached? As I would like to have the benefits of the magic keyboard with the protection of a fully encompassing case.
All around protection & pencil security vs flawless performance.... still some features left to desire from a $300 keyboard, I will wait for hopefully a better v2.0 of the magic keyboard
When I face my logitech folio touch pro for ipad 11 inch when I flip the case for movie view will the keyboards get scratcged if there is a flat surface plz reply as soon as possible
I think the combination of I-Blasson magic keyboard compatible bumper with Apple's magic keyboard and a second, regular , cheap TPU bumper if you want to protect your iPad when freeded, you get the best combination team. Apple's Magic Keyboard keying feeling plus trackpad snappiness is second to none!
literally.. it’s so annoying how he’s being super annoying with the keyboard (the logitech) and then being super rough with the flap when it was over the pen like wtf ..
He's an Apple fanboy and this review is highly biased towards the magic keyboard. Of course it's gonna be better if it's twice as expensive. The real question is whether the extra money is worth it. Never is this mentioned in the video.
The Logitech is your fathers KB case and the MKB case is that kool kid that attracts all the ladies you want to hang out with. LOL.... I returned the 11" MKB case bc of the weight, small trackpad and the lack of function keys. I got the Smart KB case + Apple trackpad in SG and it works very well.
Max your reviews are EPIC, I really really think you’re no doubt one of the best reviewers that can make us almost feel we’re using the products. Keep it on! 👏🏻
Coming from a photographer or film maker's point of view who may use iPads for editing, data/storage transfer and overall laptop like workflow, I would now lean towards the ergonomics of the Magic keyboard for the simple fact of freeing up your single USB port for readers and external HDs and using the hinge port for continuous power or charging while you are working. That is a HUGE bonus in my experience. People who complain about the lack of 360 fold for drawing etc. forgets that on the MK the iPad detaches with a finger and re-attaches perfectly just by placing it on because of powerful magnets, Plus you don't have a bulky case to hold that'll make it heavier.
Nice review! After months of using the Magic Keyboard, I would strongly recommend make an effort to go for it. Might seem costly, but believe me, you won’t regret it.

Durable, easy to use and things like the diving board trackpad is easy to get over, 🤷🏾♂️
oh yes, i wanna know how it works when im taking notes/drawing
You can choose in the cursor settings in ipad os
DrxkShadow464 thanks
yes you can
@@jerryli6763 No problem! Ask me if you have any more questions!
It’s pretty noticeable in my opinion, even playing at normal speed
he has to update the ipad to the newest software
That’s weird it had issues because I never had issues like that before with version for the iPad Air 3
after today's update from logitech,.there is no lag.
Update of the firmware or of Logitech App? How do I know if the firmware has been updated? I am sill having keystroke recognition and cursor issues (but I am running the developer Beta). Please clarify. Thanks
There’s no lag it’s just because the font is smaller
You have to update iPadOS to the latest version and then the keyboard backlighting will work for the logitech keyboard. Let me know if it works. Also, do you know if logitech will be making one for the 12.9?
Is there a hole on the bottom of the cover for the microphone?
I'm just wondering are the keys smaller since on the magic keyboard some of the keys are squished together, while it doesn't seem to be on the folio touch.
The Logitech seems to be wider because of the case thickness on the sides, that's probably the major difference
i have that keyboard and arrived today. the keyboard is actually amazing and wider. and from the video says, its lagging. after today's update, everything is smooth and so good.
Honestly, I have gotten used to the magic keyboard. With the 11 inch iPad Pro. I actually like how close they are, it’s easier to reach to the keys. Not a downside at all
@@jaynam6601 so the lagging goes away with the update?
8:48 you get no lag and there is your lag staring at you right in the face LOL.
I meant no hate but that’s something that i saw too...
@@iMakeItFun If its visible, then its not negligible :/
Where can you get the Logitech keyboard? Can’t find them anywhere
Use my link in description. There should be one to the Apple website
Max Tech looks like it’s not available in Canada yet
The thing that I love about the combo touch is the fact that the keyboard portion was able to disconnect from the case. As someone who uses my iPad for mostly handwriting, I really hoped that the folio would have a similar ability to detach the keyboard as it is what makes the combo touch so great in my opinion.
This. I wonder why its not a feature. The detaching feature is something really useful.
2:53 dumbest "advantage" of the magic keyboard, who even types in that angle??
Its usually nice when you’re in bed and you rest the ipad a little bit more elevated than your usual set up...
Idk may be a different experience for others, but it’s definitely convenient
Up against a wall on a small desk.
Sir Max Tech what would happen if you flip the folio keyboard on the back of the iPad and accidentally press it while gaming?
It gets disconnected when you flip it over
@@MaxTechOfficial Thank you sir I'm watching ur videos all the time.
Is the logitech folio touch compatible with Ipad Air 4 ?
Yes
I like the naked feel, but my hands are very clumsy and my current iPad Pro 10.5 is basically shattered. Price does not matter, which should I buy? Also looking for 11 inch iPad Pro, any deals?
Thx
go for the logitech, the hinge of the magic keyboard case to keep it for drawing makes me nervous that over time it’ll be damaged. Also if the magic keyboard drops, that iPad is definitely breaking. Pay 300 for no protection is kinda silly
They now have the combo touch version for the iPad Pro, it’s $199 and sold at Apple stores right now and coming to bestbuy at end of May
Hope there is a 12.9-inch version
It’s a subtle feature but the Logitech flap has a small sleeve in it to store the pencil even more securely. The Slim Folio Pro has it and I saw it on this video too.
Logitech just updated the keyboard configuration app in the past day or so to fully support the iPad Pro. Previously, it was only flashed for the Pro 10.5" and 3rd gen Air.
I have learned from experience even though apple accessories are more expensive the experience is much better
even though there are overpriced products, the experience is great
The things that they do right just feel so much better, everyone would want that extra little thing but I appreciate when they give me something I didn't even knew I wanted.
Agree 💯
impendio exactly, and I would argue that one should see it as an investment, I have an iphone 7s+ and it works wonders! also a mac form 2014. They are products to last definitely and you should give them the accessories required imo.
Anyone knows if the keyboard behind Logitech stop rocking when u turn it to the back os the iPad? Because if it continues running then we can’t actually use it with the keyboard on the back...
ruclips.net/video/wz5XahmlPKg/видео.html
He covers that in this video!
Troy Box thx very much xD
On the Logitech there a tablet mode so you pull the tab keeping the tablet closed to the back of the case and fold the key board back
Do they not have the Logitech polio for the 12.9 ? I can’t find it with the mouse pad
It works great.
can u tell me where I can but it from for the iPad Pro 2020 (4th gen) 11 inch cause i couldn’t find it anywhere pls
Folio touch have function keys too which makes it more closer to a MacBook .
and budget wise (which makes me possible to purchase lol)
Magic Keyboard is almost the half the price of iPad Pro 11" ($300) which is hella insane for a keyboard and a trackpad .
Overall , the $160 Logitech Folio Touch is the real game changer for the iPad Pro 2020
Will there be a 12.9 version?
Do you know if the Folio Touch also fits the 2018 iPad Pro 11"? The Magic Keyboard does as far as I know.
Yes it does
Pre-ordered it with a 35% discount. Got if for like $110.
How bro? Spread the knowledge wealth and help everybody save
In general do you recommend the 11in ipad over the 12.9?
I tested the MK the only downside i found is that if you are a writer or do a lot of typing it's not comfortable, keys are very compressed close to each other and I would prefer more key travel
So what do I get for the 12.9 inch other than the magic keyboard
the only gripe I have with the video is the clear bias towards the magic keyboard just because it's apple. otherwise this is a great review outlining definitive differences between products
I had both. The kickstand is a nightmare. And its also waaaaay heavier. Returned mine the same day.
He mentioned how the Logitech was better in some ways than the magic keyboard multiple times throughout the video. Jesus christ you can’t say one positive about Apple ever without being called a fanboy lol
Lol he has used the magic keyboard though. I highly doubt you have, since every person I have talked to who owns one loves it so much.
@@victuringan1429 yea i dont like the kickstand
Does the Logitech one support the older 11 inch?
Damn bro been waiting all day for this video lol

Excellent review. If you wanted, at times, to use the iPad pro in conjunction with a large monitor, how would that connect/sync?
🤩🤩 This really is 100% what I've been waiting for!! But... for the 12.9“ model 😮😱
Please tell me, where should I keep my pencil if I but either of them? Its too expensive to leave it loose ..
is there a logitech keyboard with tracker for an ipad mini?
I would choose the Logitech keyboard mainly for the writing mode. I plan to do a lot of handwritten note-taking and the MK simply doesn't allow me to do so without taking the iPad out.
$300 is just so overpriced for an ipad keyboard/case.
Do you use screen protectors for your ipad pro?

So when will the case come out for the 12.9 version?
When do you think they will release a 12.9 version?
Will 12.9 be available?
“plasticky denim” uhhhhhh. Idk it looks very similar to the material used by amazon in their newer echo devices.
True. I like that material though
The different is it's just for looks on Echo devices where as you interact with it on a mobile device.
@@genefactor007 i have it as well, and you are completely right. My reccomendation, buy stickers!
What there is a Logitech app!?
Haven’t received my M1 iPad Pro yet, but got the Logitech Folio Touch case to go along with it as I’m loving the Combo Touch on my iPad Air 3! Half the price, function keys, personally think it looks a lot nicer, more protective, and still has a keyboard I quite enjoy typing on. Also find it’s lapable enough and strongly prefer the design for media consumption. Greatly appreciate being able to hide the keyboard and prop the iPad up on my lap with the kickstand.
why would you render in 24 fps for youtube?
Do they make this for the 12.9 inch?
This is my favorite tech channel thanks for the awesome review
Bought a simple procase for now but thinking i will eventually get the magic keyboard. Do you know if it will work with the other case still attached? As I would like to have the benefits of the magic keyboard with the protection of a fully encompassing case.
no it definitely won't
Does the keyboard stick to the back so it does not flap around
All around protection & pencil security vs flawless performance.... still some features left to desire from a $300 keyboard, I will wait for hopefully a better v2.0 of the magic keyboard

really love this video man
Does the case affect the quality of the sound

Have a Logitech folio touch coming for my new iPad Air 4
I think the combination of I-Blasson magic keyboard compatible bumper with Apple's magic keyboard and a second, regular , cheap TPU bumper if you want to protect your iPad when freeded, you get the best combination team. Apple's Magic Keyboard keying feeling plus trackpad snappiness is second to none!
You seem to be trying to promote apple’s keyboard...just doesn’t feel totally honest. For twice the money the Logitech seems like the best option.
literally.. it’s so annoying how he’s being super annoying with the keyboard (the logitech) and then being super rough with the flap when it was over the pen
like wtf ..
Does the Logitech Folio Touch work with the 3rd gen iPad Pro 11 inch or just the 2020 iPad Pro?
Does the logitech flap ever wear down where it wont hold up the iPad anymore? I just got it and I’m worried that’s gonna happen soon
Does it come in the 12.9 inch one/
Does this work with the 2018 iPad Pro
Is there the little slot to put the pencil in the Logitech’s magnetic tab? It’s good for traveling , my reg keyboard has that.
What if both comes in same price which one should be preferred?
This is my favourite tech review channel,
Max your reviews are EPIC, I really really think you’re no doubt one of the best reviewers that can make us almost feel we’re using the products. Keep it on! 👏🏻
Agreed, top notch. Pros and cons clearly given. Feels balanced and unbiased and doesnt pander to partisans and narratives like some channels do.
Could you update iPadOS and confirm function keys and latency improved?
Best wire adapter that also acts as a charger for ipad air 4? (on amazon)
hello, how do i get those wallpapers, i saw the link but i don't see a download button
Looks like Appel got to you on this side by side demo. A question, what the thickness between the 2 when the iPad is installed ?
It's not available in Canada right now :(
