Guard your inner peace. Yes, we get frustrations and conflict thrown at us daily by the world. But whatever is regularly pulling us away from centering ourself about our inner peace is best released from our life. Chronic stress, anger, conflict, jealousy, greed and vices have the potential to eat us alive. A man who could afford a Lambo but chose instead to find peace in nature and simplicity has learned true value.
Nice simple rig there, all the power to ya brotha! I kinda want to do the same for myself, but my rig is mixed use. I got a TV and PC involved, so ill never have it as simple as this. Im gonna go with a less complex entertainment center and get some cable mgmt happening.
Yes, many modern 45s are crazy expensive, but 33s are following suite. In the late 80's, the average price of an LP was $7 or $8 and some of those OJCs you could get for $5. Put in perspective $10 back then is about $27 today. Bill Evan's Sunday At The Village Vanguard Craft OJC is now selling for $40 new. Add $8 for shipping and $3 tax and you're over $50. That's for just the 33. Then you have the UHQRs for $100+ per album. It's enough to blow the dust of my CD player and hide from analog until prices get a little more reasonable. Problem is I don't see it happening any time soon.
yup I dont buy em I have quality not quantity collection acquired at estates and other means.Maybe 5% new.All analog from year of origin.I gave up buying.I have enough also stream and cd .Analog journey is an tricky animal and someone better be ready to commit alot of time and money to see what an analog front end can really do.Lot of things have to be right
@@greatlookinglandscap I'm an analog guy at heart, but over the past year I've purchased 2x as many CDs as LPs and sold off every turntable except for my DUAL 1229 daily driver. If you can find good quality used albums, deals can still be had, but I foresee a time where those original pressings will be like NOS tubes, so get them while you can.
The algorithm thinks I have money, and switched from car audio, to home Sq but its all interesting. So much is subjective with Sq. One day my 1k rms, and two amps sounds perfect, the next, meh. The urge to add more amps and channels is always present, but I agree, simplicity sounds better usually.
@@greatlookinglandscap Do what you can afford and be surprised. For me it's aging old school Sq amps I couldn't afford as a child. I'm always impressed, aging caps, and all.
I can't live with just one system, but I am a gear hoarder 😂 found a solution for to many speakers and amps... Home theatre with all electrostatic speakers 😂
@@greatlookinglandscap depends, I just bought my second pair of quad ESL 57 for €200. Seems like a 109€ maintenance job. And with subsequent serial numbers they are easily 1000€ worth. Not hoarding is scarier for me 😎 Problem is I don't sell and just bought a pair of acoustat x for my main speakers. So now I am going surround. Just need a pair of ESL 57 to have front height and I am fine ... For a bit ... Maybe... 😇

yes indeed.Materials can begin to own not be owned and can be a selfish slow death of the soul

no visible cable big diff why have a nice rig ruined with rats nest of cables .It takes work but worth it
Simplicity is the core of serenity.
Thats a powerful statement and 100% true
Nice overview. I still see dual vinyl sources though...
you do.The sl-7 is a staple here and an amazing machine especially in black.Lazy vinyl listening😁
Great looking rig Dave 👍 What are you listening to more these days, streaming or vinyl?

@@greatlookinglandscap Too many variables in car audio to really be critical though, I can't imagine a living room. I'd drive myself nuts and broke.

I prefer the cutting edge like my bel canto e1x integrated
You are only using the Hegel with the Technics?
yes as the canto internal is superior after doing the a/b the canto e1x is just simply that good
