Hot take: I don’t want Nublar to return because it would make the Brachiosaurus death scene less emotional and meaningful. The scene signifies the end of the islands and there’s no going back.
Great video Swrve, make a video about Isla Sorna too, please, and then about the Isle of Mantha, etc... This series you are doing on the channel is very good, very timely.
7:40 baryonyx never lived in the original park (but did on sorna) plus segisaurus, metriacanthosaurus and proceratosaurus hadn’t even been cloned yet. Troodon and likely Tylosaurus and possibly pteranodon can also be added to that list. And before anyone says anything the Telltale game is “soft-canon” not “non-canon” which can clearly be interpreted as the games events occurring just with details changed (such as Rexy not destroying the visitor centre, the raptors and Dilophosaurus’ having the correct colourations, the Isla Nublar bombing never occurring, etc.) the Troodons are complete canon now, well technically anyway, that being the dinotracker twitter recognising and answering to a fan-made report of Troodon Pectinodon. Which yeah to some people might not be “proof of anything” to some people but considering dinotracker twitter removed any of their responses to fan-made reports apart from the ones that work with canon, and that includes to Troodon one (and the one with the JP:TG Herrerasaurus interestingly) to me shows that they are canon. There’s less proof for the Tylosaurus with it not even getting the Dinotracker twitter treatment. But there is nothing that directly says it’s non-canon, the closest thing is the description of the Mosasaurus’ creation saying “how the figured out how to clone marine animals” which is fair. As for pteranodons on Isla Nublar during the 90’s… yeah that didn’t happen, ok it’s possible but there’s just *nothing* that supports this! Over than a small image in the original movie that kinda looks like an aviary. So yeah there you go. I know you made a tweet a while ago saying that it’s non-canon due to the barbasol being destroyed in that game but that can very easily be written around. Come at me all you want that games soft-canonicity will be defended by me until stated by an official who can actually debunk it, does that. But if anything, there’s at least one Troodon Pectinodon living in Iran during the time of dominion

Great job on this video Isla nublar will always be my favorite island in the Jurassic park and the Jurassic world movies even though isla nublar is destroyed by the volcano at least some of the dinosaurs of isla nublar manage to survive extinction all over again and get of the island. Even though everything on isla nublar is destroyed by the volcano I'll always consider this a home for the dinosaurs long after the park is abandoned right after disaster struck like a dinosaur escaping it's enclosure or some employee trying to steal some time dinosaur embryos and I will always consider that the island will always belong to the dinosaurs. Sometimes when I watch Jurassic world Fallen Kingdom I would imagine I go into the island and Rescue all the dinosaurs after the US Senate will not going to the island and then let the dinosaurs die from the volcano and I would take the dinosaurs to the Sanctuary Island and I would watch over them on this new island and sure nobody set foot on this island.
Something the movies never really got across was that Isla Nublar meaning cloud island got its name from its constant shroud of mist. The novel explains that. Would’ve been some very cool visuals if Spielberg had kept the mysterious vibe Michael Crichton described in the book. Also Isla Nublar was destroyed by the Costa Rican army at the end of the novel.
I thought that Isla Nublar only appears in three of the six JP/JW movies (and not four as stated a the start of the video): Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, Jurassic World FK. The events of Lost World and JP3 take place on Isla Sorna and JW D takes place exclusively on the continental USA, Malta and Europe, with only archive/news footage of Isla Nublar.
I hope we get something to show us what Nublar and the park in general looks like after the volcano went dormant, there has to be some remnants of Jurassic World and possibly something survived?
