Jayne, you are an excellent teacher. So calm and easy-going. You make it a real joy to quilt! Your overhead cam works great, giving us a birds-eye view.
Hello Jayne. I'm loving the overhead view. I'm also loving the interaction with the block rather than the "freeze shot". Thank you for sharing your expertise! You always give us great block tutorials.
Another beautiful block with such lovely fabrics. Thank you Jane for the tutorials. You are an amazing lovely person. Appreciate you so much. From Canton MI USA
You better believe I loved it and all the other blocks in the quilt. I’ll be watching out for more of your videos. Thanks so much. I also love the prints you used for the blocks snd the many placements.
Hi from aussie. Those are called leaders and enders in the US, you can use acrap quilt squares for that, and have a lot of bits, for a bonus quilt made once you are done. You can go for 2 pieces at a time, then turn them into 4-patches as well, then you can put a few together while still seated, into 16 patches or so, you could sew a few more if you wish, and want to sew for a bit longer. Put your blocks away until you have as many as you want then sew 4 blocks together, add 3 more like that for a baby quilt, or lay out all of them and make rows and join them, your scrappy one just got less tedious to piece and is done. You don't have to... just have fun. . P.s. snowball cut-offs also work for pinwheels or hourglasses like this. You can trim them to the same unit size and alternate or whatever you like. You can make hordes of bonus hst's by sewing a 2nd seam 1/2 " further away, on each snowball, then play with all possible hst configurations. All the best.
This morning I wanted to do embroidery on hexagon quilt but I didn't remember if the floss was a 6 or 3 strands! So, I thought about your book and was not happy that I didn't took time to buy it! I won't make the same mistake and other time! Thanks to you!
Hi Mary, I have been doing this for about 15 years, but have sewn since I was a teenager, dressmaking and curtains, but patchwork and quilting is my favourite 😊 Thanks for watching, happy quilting, Jayne
