You are my new favorite person to watch. You explain everything so well and your blocks are beautiful. I appreciate the sizes in the description. I'm able to screen shot the sizes with a pic of the block so it's easy to refer to while cutting them out. Thank you so much!!
@@PoppyPatchwork Thank you Jayne, I just have to say , you make it look so easy but as a beginner I’m learning a lot, my machine was sliding off the seam allowances and then my points didn’t match lol, I put the walking foot on and it fixed that problem, just need to improve my technique in cutting the fabric a bit better lol. I have successfully made some of your blocks and am going to make enough for a good size quilt, thank you 😊
The timing of this video could not have been better! I've been looking for a 12" finished block to make into a baby quilt and this is perfect! Thank you so much!
I have been watching your videos and very much enjoy them. I am just starting to teach myself how to make quilt blocks. I saw a picture of a couple different blocks I like the look of an wondered if you could do a video on them. I do not know what they are called. I find, for me, watching and following along works best for me to figure it out. I tried to put the picture here, so you could see the pictures, but it would not let me do that. One of the blocks looks like a square in a square with the flaps of an envelope folding down over the corners and the other block looks like the four corners of a log cabin block with a star in the center of the block. Thanks for all the fabulous work you do it has been very helpful to this beginner.
Miss Jayne, I am enjoying your tutorials and am getting my fabrics together. I am also trying to get some of your accessories. I cannot locate the Quilters Cut N Press II. Please let me know where I can purchase it. Now I'm going to watch another of your tutorials. I hope to make the entire quilt.
Hi Laura, I'm glad you are enjoying my videos. In my recent Quilt Along Video's, I have added links to some of the tools I use in the description, happy quilting, Jayne
"I am confused on your measurements. You say 4 & 3/4" but your board shows it as 8". Is there a reason for that? It has my end results off using the 4 & 3/4" measurements. This is gorgeous and I am a long time quilter. I would appreciate the help on the measurements.
Hi, I cut my pieces the wrong size which is why they are 8” in the video. At the beginning of the video when I give out the measurements, the photos state the image is not to scale. Sorry for the confusion, hope this helps. Happy Quilting, Jayne
Hi Sally, I do not know for sure, but it could be because you don't waste much fabric when making the block. Thanks for watching, happy quilting, Jayne
Hi Melody, when I am sewing towards a point, where stitch lines cross over each other, I want the new line of stitching to be just to the right of the intersecting seams so when you press it open you can see the point (of a triangle) and you haven’t sewn through it (blunting the point). I hope that helps, happy quilting, Jayne
You do such beautiful work! Thank you for taking your time and sharing with us. 🇺🇸

Love the quilt hanging behind you, what pattern is it?
Hi Ruth, thanks it is a pattern from the Moda Bake Shop, happy quilting, Jayne
Very pretty block, lovely teaching method. I admit that there are teaching videos I cannot watch due to the teachers voice and ramblings.😁
Thank you :), happy quilting, Jayne
I love the choice of fabrics you use. Are you able to tell me the name of them?
Hi Penny, mostly I have been using Bonnie & Camille fabrics for this quilt block series. Thanks for watching and happy quilting, Jayne

DID YOU DO A VIDEO ON LEXINGTON CHARM PACK
No I don’t think I did, but I have done some charm pack videos. Happy quilting, Jayne
Will someone please explain the term economy block? Never heard that term before, I’m in America.
Hi Sally, I do not know for sure, but it could be because you don't waste much fabric when making the block. Thanks for watching, happy quilting, Jayne
I know you used a triangle ruler once, can you let me know the brand or name of it.
Hi Frances, it is the Triangle Square Up ruler by Eleanor Burns for Quilt in a Day, happy quilting, Jayne
Just found you, THRILLED..Thanks..
Thanks Joanne, happy quilting, Jayne
I’m trying to understand what you mean by “so you don’t Blunt that point “are you skipping over the seam?
Hi Melody, when I am sewing towards a point, where stitch lines cross over each other, I want the new line of stitching to be just to the right of the intersecting seams so when you press it open you can see the point (of a triangle) and you haven’t sewn through it (blunting the point).
